Why doesn't Obama get credit for low gas prices?

Very true to some extent.  There will be many that are shocked when the market tanks once again (and it's going to happen).  The Fed announced today that interest rates are going to remain steady for now, so that kind of "stabilizes" the world economic situation... for now.

Another reason that gas prices are falling has nothing to do with the Obama administration.  It's all about the "evil" oil shale operations boosting supply.  Higher supply means less demand which drives the price of crude oil down.  Imagine if we did a "drill baby drill" operation in Alaska and actually started building new and more efficient refineries without the restrictions placed on oil companies by government?

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.  Those who understand binary and those who don't.

I agree on refineries though. Been saying that for a while now.

Yeah...fracking.

As much as I hate fracking, it's done wonders for the property values around here. They're peaking right now, in fact. As the wells dry up and come out over the next few years, property values will crash back to Earth, and I won't feel as bad about leaving right now when I see that my old house is worth 20% less than what I sold it for.
