Kinda like our RG situation when we moved Linder, hmm?

Exactly. They wanted to sign Mack last year before he settled with Atlanta. I don't care who they bring in. If it's an upgrade it's an upgrade.

Too much pride on Caldwell's end but why a sudden drop off in interest?

The reason Caldwell gave in his presser was age. That makes no sense because he knew Mack was going to be 31 in 2016.

Linder is going to do a fine job wherever we put him. I say find the best interior OL you can, and if that guy happens to be a Center, then there's no reason to fret moving Linder to G. It's not like Linder would be booting out some spectacular G from the position, and the experience Mangold brings at C should improve the position as it's largely about understanding defenses to make the OL calls. Having Mangold at Center with Linder playing next him would give the Jaguars the start of a legit OL that can finally start competing in this league.
