Quote:Hey if we sign enough good players that are old/injury, we ought to be able to field a decent line most of the time.

Haha yea, the fact is outside of Linder every o-lineman on this roster is replaceable, we're going to replace them at some point. So I'd be in favor in signing some effective vets until we find younger replacements.

If we think of the offensive line as a rotation like a D-line, then having older guys in it does make sense till you get that truly dominant player.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster

lol can't blame them, they would give us a useful player who was injured, for a player who quit after he got paid.

Not talking about replacing, just adding more guys in the rotation. I suggested Albert to RT, which Beechum isn't physical enough to play.

The way Marrone gushed about Parnell unsolicited the final two weeks of the season would suggest that our level of desperation to upgrade RT does not match the organizations. While I would love to sign Wagner or draft Moton, I don't think it will be a major priority for the FO.

On a sidenote what is this QBwinz thing they have on the Miami board. I think I need some QBwinz here!

Miami has been rumored to be in the trade market for a veteran corner, so House for Albert does makes sense.

that would be highway robbery. A ham sandwich for House is a good deal

I guess I'm in the minority in thinking House isn't that bad, Miami traded for another veteran corner (Byron Maxwell who was awful in Phly) last year in that trade worked out for them, Miami has a good coaching staff capable of putting players in a position to succeed. They were going to release Albert anyway, so they could be looking at this potential deal through the same lense as you.

flipping tackles is more difficult than it sounds too. Taylor Lewan said this about it

It's just different, something I haven't done before," Lewan said. "My vertical set is a little off, and keeping my shoulder square (is harder), those type of things. My punch timing is a lot better on the left side than it is on the right side. But it's just learning and developing those things, and that's what you have to do to be successful."

I dont know if albert has any extensive history playing on the right but if not, i imagine it would be pretty difficult to learn that side after playing left forever

It's not that House for Albert would be a bad deal in a vacuum, it's that he's filling a hole at probably a lower level and also probably a less reliable level than the young guy we had in house on a long term below market deal.

Mike Garafolo says we are the primary destination. Nothing can happen until March 9th but his source is optimistic it will get done.

Its gonna be JT

Dolphins arent getting anything out of the TE position and Gase knows how to get production out of tight ends and knows JT.

I'd trade House for Albert straight up. Not JTs biggest fan but him for Albert straight up would be lobsided.
