Telvin Smith

I think you meant to say Derek Brooks

I think the OP may have meant Derrick Brooks. Brooks was undersized coming out of FSU as well playing OLB at the time.

I could see that as being a far more realistic comparison.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I hope to hell he's a Hall of fame type player.

Jesus guys, he had a decent rookie year...let's not start making the mold for Canton yet...

That's a good comparison.  Telvin Smith is exactly like any bronze bust in Canton, only quicker, and carrying around a full torso, arms, legs, and the ability to actually move.  Other than that, exactly the same.

Is it just me or do you agree that Denard Robinson has a little bit of Walter Payton in him ?

There's a procedure to have that removed.

Since when can people not have opinions? And make mistakes. Still reminds me of Rice. But brooks a great player as well.

HaHaHa This is a joke right? Rice was massive! he was 220 probably in his sophomore year of High School. Opinions are opinions, I get it, but you're way off. Telvin isn't even a pass rusher! do you even football?

Just got done watching Film Room: Telvin Smith again and I have to say, this guy is going to start a trend of teams looking for LBs that can move just like him.

Easily Caldwell's biggest steal. I didn't get to watch much last year but he's a Brian Dawkins-style sure tackler.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

Quote:Geez give the OP a break. He just wanted to spark a little discussion in the off-season.

Following the spirit of the thread I would like to throw out there that Luke Bowanko reminds me a lot of Steve Atwater.

The way Telvin Smith played and improved upon as a rookie, and now if the added weight doesnt hinder his speed he should be in the Pro Bowl this season.
