Quote:Re-entering the draft to become a high pick the next year is the smart move. It worked so well for Bo Jackson.
Given that his alternative would seem to be a low slot/UDFA this year, it's not like he has a ton to lose.
He's a steal this late in the draft. Count it.

If this guy is there in the 7th you take him. I know he said if he wasn't taken last night he won't sign. But I think it's worth the gamble this guy is a 1st round talent. The best LT in the draft. It's worth the risk. He would be better than Jokel's sorry behind. 7th round picks never work out so it's definitely worth the risk.

La'el Collins, AJ Cann, Stephen Wisenski, Brandon Linder, Jeremy Parnell. The O-lin. Would be fixed.

If he's refusing to sign why would you throw a pick down the toilet?
In before the move and no...

idk if you have missed it, collins said he WILL NOT SIGN a contract with any team if he wasnt taken last night and plans to enter the draft again next year.

I know this sounds stupid. But it would only be a 7th rounder. Those never work out. And you never know he could'be been just bluffing, or could be convinced by Gus to be apart of this rebuild.
Pass. We already got a RT and just drafted a guard

No offence, but did you read anything I said besides the title ?

Tell McCray that 7th round picks never work out.
Lol

i read it all. it isnt a gamble, its a guaranteed no. a gamble means you have a chance to win.

what if we offer him a similar deal as an UDFA that he would've received as a 2nd rounder for example?

With the signing bonus and all that stuff - with one caveat.  If he's found involved in the murder, there are 0$ guaranteed.  If he's innocent - he will take that contract gladly.

That's what I would do.  Not sure if that's allowed or possible - but think of him as a free agent signing.  Signing him for 2nd round money isn't that much and it cost you no draft picks.
Ok nevermind then. Dont waste a pick on him. But in Undrafted free agency he needs to be the first call ! If he is an UFA he is ineligible to eneter the 2016 draft.
You could draft him, but he says he won't sign anyway.  And I know he feels some kind of way about what went down right before the draft but it seems like he loves money more than football.  I'd love to have first round talent in the 4th or 5th round but it doesn't seem like he is willing to earn a big pay day, he wants it now.

If he's truly innocence he has every right to do what he's doing.
Actually he can't re-enter the draft, i feel like he will be angry for awhile but have to have some type of income at some point, he would sign eventually. PS he will be drafted today

wouldnt have any problem with it
I would love him, but i'm scared he might not sign and re-enter the draft, and then its a wasted pick, now if you can convince him to sign then yes take him
