I had a dream that we drafted Gurley at 3 and this forum went into meltdown  :mellow:

So does Lael go undrafted?

I'd give up a 7th rounder for him if it looked like he was going to go undrafted. I doubt he falls too much though.

My thought on it is this: Fowler would fill a hole because we lost J.T. Thomas to free agency and he was our Otto, so if the pick is based on need, he should be our selection. But if we go BAP on this one, it will be Williams.

It would not surprise me if he goes undrafted and does not even get an UDFA deal.

 

Schefter was just on Mike and Mike and said he has talked to teams around the league that believe he goes undrafted.

They say that if you pay a high priced Free Agent or draft in the 1st round (sometimes as much as 3rd round) you are usually going to cut the guy in that position (if not bench him).

 

So when you look at the draft you have to think does the team want to bench or cut Chris Clemons by drafting Fowler Jr (maybe they cut Big Red but Chris had a great season especially considering he wasnt on the field

the entire time with the rotation system the line has), or if you are thinking SAM they signed Skuta or LE they signed Odrick so would one of them become the backup for Fowler?


Whom do you feel is the better athlete Fowler or Williams if both are available at #3 and trading down isnt an option?

I have to think that they draft Williams especially with Marks being injured allowing them to either have him & Odrick cycle at DE and move Tyson to DT for depth or have him & Marks at DT and move Miller for depth.

 

Cooper would also make sense even though Hurns, Robinson & Lee all looked promising none of them would be considered a true #1 WR on most NFL teams and they all were injured last season so depth is an issuse...


I have to think Cooper is the safest pick and need & value meet at number 3

 

Yep sold myself on Amari Cooper for Jaguars 3rd.

Is on Friday morning here in oz. To call in sick or not?

#3.) Jaguars receive a phone call from NY Jets and with then 3rd overall pick the Jets draft QB Marcus Mariota

#4.) Raiders draft WR Amari Cooper to give Carr weapons.

#5.) Redskins draft weak side OLB Vic Beasley where need meets value with a great edge rusher

#6.) Jaguars draft Donte Fowler Jr for strong side OLB or LE depending on Preseason I could see Trae Waynes going here too

The Bucs are taking Winston.

That is what everyone has been saying but i heard on the NFL Network radio this morning that the Bucs havent even negogiated with Winston yet if they are truly sold on him why wouldnt they have talked by now??

Because they don't have to and they will keep their options open. In the end, they will take Winston.

 

And if by some chance they don't, it would be Mariota. Not Williams.

I hope WIlliams falls to the Jaguars at #3 that would be awesome! 


If not in my scenario it would be aweome if the 2nd round pick obtained (in addition to the 6th overall pick in this draft & 2 first) they trade the 2nd and the Jaguars 2nd to move up to Lions 23rd (and maybe a 4th) and then trade the 23rd overall pick and next years 1st obtained from Jets in the move down to move back up and Draft LT Andrus Peat...
