Quote:Yeah. Sure.

Why would I make something like that up?
Quote:So now JW is a LIAR.

Was he lying then, or is he lying now?

Either way, he's a liar.

Snitches get stiches.
Quote:Yeah. Sure.

He does. One wouldn't need to work there anyway to know that this "hook up" story is bull crap. Apply common sense and maybe you will figure it out.

I'm a nobody and I got hooked up at the acrade, Subway, Winn-Dixie and various restaurants where friends worked when I was in college.
Quote:LOL he literally threw FSU under the bus! Admitting to receiving free stuff? Wow.
This just in...FSU is under a bus. Literally.

C'mon man.

I guess you don't shop at publix. It's pretty easy to tell that his story is fabricated.
Quote:It wasnt...that's the whole point.

Jameis made it an issue with his story

I still don't see the issue. We are talking about crab legs. Lol and we are actually having a discussion about it.
Ok, so apparently there are a lot of people dumb enough to believe his story.

He lied to police or he is lying now to try to make himself look better. It's one or the other.

I guess I don't get why anyone here would care. We ain't taking Jameis and he is out of college and we are on 3 pages about crab legs. I guess that is the world we live in now.

Ummm ok?

I don't think the issue is the crab legs, rather that he is saying he got stuff for free while he was an athlete at FSU. Pretty sure that's a big no no...whether it's crab legs or a car, and it can come back and bite the school in its hind parts. I'm thinking you'd think its a big deal if you lose some scholarships because of it.

It's just annoying that he would assume people watching that Draft Academy show are dumb enough to believe his bull crap. Turns out he might be right.

There are several other reasons why people might discuss this.
It just seems that every time JW opens the mouth, stupid stuff comes out.

It's like JW just doesn't think about or even care what JW says/does, before or after JW says/does it.

That's just not a good trait in anybody, much less your franchise QB/face of your football team.

Lucky for FSU they only had to put up with it for 2 years, although there is always a chance he could say something about his time at FSU that could lead to an investigation that could lead to penalties/sanctions against FSU in the future.

Right, but my point is we are talking about crab legs! Doesn't everyone have more important things to do? I mean seriously NCAA, is this what we are really trying to stop? What I'm saying is it is crazy this is a story and it is also crazy that a school could lose scholarships ovee this. Priorities are really out of whack.

Im just surprised in general that people actually care.

To be fair I think Harbaugh baited him into spilling the beans. The guy knew what he was doing and knew the cameras were rolling.

The thing is that this was a dead issue…it was over and done with….no one was talking about it until Jameis opened his mouth?

What does Jameis get out of saying he was "hooked up"?  He was already "punished" it wasn't hurting his draft stock…so WHY BEAT THE DEAD HORSE and make an issue out of by basically saying "I received free stuff while at FSU".

But by him making his statement he gets FSU in possible hot water….it was stupid to even say anything...
Quote:These things happen all the time and if you dont think so youre really clueless. These college athletes are broke. If they meet someone who is willingly going to give them free stuff you really think they would say no?

Would you have said no back in your college days? If your mommy and daddy were giving you money please dont respond because you havent been in that situation.

Big time football players havent been in that situation either.  Any major athlete that says otherwise is full of it.  I went to Vanderbilt and freshman year lived with a football player.  And I'm sure everyone could agree there isnt a chance in hell that we treat our athletes any better than some major football factory like FSU does... especially back when I was in school.  And my roommate was always bringing back to the dorm leftover steaks, lobsters, salmon, etc ,etc... all courtesy of the athletes dining hall.  Those dudes ate like kings.

The idea that Jameis Winston was going to bed hungry because he didnt have any money and the school wasnt feeding him enough is [BLEEP] laughable.  He didnt need someone to hook him up with crab legs.

The Winstons aren't poor either, so it's not like he was doing without any way.
