Quote:How is Kaepernick a bust...
well he's not really same with Green just including players I liked. Some people would say he's a bust some would say Cutler is a bust.
Stephen Hill is a big miss for me. I bought in to the Georgia Tech WR hype after Demaryius and Calvin wrecked the NFL.
Roy Williams WR not Safety
As a Lions fan, five 1st Round picks come to mind immediately that the team ended up selecting.
TE David Lewis
DE Reggie Rogers
OL Aaron Gibson
WR Charles Rogers
WR Mike Williams
All were epic busts. While in some cases there were other players that in essence I equally wanted in those spots or even wanted a little more , I never envisioned the degree that all of these players flopped for one or more reasons.
Quote:Roy Williams WR not Safety
Roy Willliams lacked the attention to details. He had some projective games and seasons but he became a disappointment as time went on. Thanks to Jerry Jones, the Lions were able to get a 1st, 3rd, and 6th for Wiilliams and a 7th. Compared to Charles Rogers and Mike Williams, Roy Williams had a much better career which isn't saying much.
Melvin Ingram has not lived up to expectations.. largely due to injury.
Geno Smith
Jimmy Clausen
Derrick Morgan
Adam Gettis

Stephen Hill indirectly is going to cost Ga. Tech WR prospect Darren Waller a lot of money.

IMO, the torn Achilles tendon Mikel Leshoure suffered in training camp as a rookie was the primary reason why he was a bust. Leshoure was durable with Illinois. Sometimes, freak injuries are difficult to avoid. On the other hand, the concussions Jahvid Best suffered in the NFL weren't surprising based on what transpired with Cal.
Jamal Anderson, Morris Claiborne, Levi Brown.
Christian Ponder
Vernon Gholston
Justin Blackmon

I still remember Mikel's 3 TD game against the Jags a few years ago. The Lions came to Jax and beat the crap out of the Jags on their own field, if I remember correctly.
Leshoure showed that he still has some speed at the veteran combine; he ran relatively the same 40 yard dash time that he did at his rookie combine. I'll be surprised if he doesn't at least get a tryout after the draft.
I thought Trent Richardson was gonna be a stud.
I also thought Robert Gallery was gonna be a stud as well. I was on that hype full speed ahead.

Glad you mentioned him. There were a lot of Geno fans on this board that have since went into hiding.

That game was definitely the high water mark of Mikel Leshoure's career and was the Lions best all around game of what became a very disappointing season. As well as the Lions played that afternoon, 4 years earlier in Detroit in what became an 0-16 season for the Lions, MJD scored 3 TD's and the Jags beat the Lions to such an extent that if it was a boxing match, it would have been stopped before the end of the first half.
According to the following site, Mikel Leshoure's best time at the veteran combine a few weeks ago was 4.75. He ran around a 4.60 in Indianapolis in the winter of 2011 but the surface that the veteran combine was held on was considered slow:

While Mikel Leshoure didn't have a good pre-season last summer, which contributed heavily to him being released, I was surprised no other team gave him an opportunity. Even considering Leshoure not having much Special Teams value. The Colts and Bears worked him out but decided not to sign Leshoure. I hope he gets another opportunity. If it doesn't happen in 2015, it probably will never happen.
Didn't see it listed here but Dion Jordan.
