Quote:crazy how some are already calling Joeckel a bust, would love for him to prove the doubters wrong
I think even those doubters would love nothing more than to be proven wrong

Rick Ballou said Joeckel looks significantly bigger already this year. Said he looks like a beast. Apparently interviewed him at the fair.

Bigger doesn't always mean better. I agree he's not a "bust" yet, but all this offseason hype is so predictable. Lets wait until he plays some games before we start thinking he's turned a corner.

nobody is saying it necessarily means he's going to be better, but I think everyone would agree that it's good news that he's gotten bigger and stronger in the weight-room.

it's the off-season. There's no news. We will make a bigger deal out of anything.

If only he could have come out his sophomore year...
Once touted as a top 5 pick then goes undrafted//not sticking to a team on any level in a year...

Those two make up TMD's all time list of greatest QB's to ever hold a football.

You could do a lot worse than Sanchise. Not worth the draft selection, though.

A few names stand out. One player that I thought was going to be a really good CB was Joey Thomas out of Montana. He was your typical small-school CB with good size/speed. He was taken in the 3rd round by the Packers and never really became anything.
I liked Jimmy Clausen too (yikes!)
The Derrick Harvey draft, I HATED Harvey. I wanted us to stay put and take Lawrence Jackson or Campbell. Campbell would have been nice, but Jackson would have been meh. Still better than Harvey I suppose.
Asher Allen was another guy I liked. We took Cox ahead of him, and I was upset of that deal. By the first 2-3 years, it looked like we had the right guy. Turns out it didn't matter.
