I wonder if he calls it a career after that! Hard to follow up that showing!
Quote:1 season is 1 season. He could win another next year. I think he has a couple years at least though. Not to mention Gronk will probably be back

More like 3-5 years based on this report:

you obviously don't know what the words "AT LEAST" means
Quote:My skepticism is based on Bill Belicheat. He can make any QB look great. Remember Matt Cassel in 2008? How about Jacoby Brissett? We will never know if Tom Brady would be as successful with any other coach because he played for Bill Belicheat his entire career.

Matt Cassel in 2008? Oh, you mean that year the Patriots DIDN'T make the playoffs?

BB had nothing to do with what Brady showed on the field tonight,, driving 91 yards (the longest drive they had all season) with 2 minutes left in the SB and down 8 points.

Brady is the most clutch QB in big games I've ever seen.

It's okay to have opinions on who you think is the GOAT or not. But, pretty much everyone on TV is all saying it.

They're not wrong.

He IS the best ever.
Quote:what about Cassel? He won 5 less games than Brady did. Brissett got shut out. And Brady has 5 rings haha

There you are with it is all about wins again. When judging a QB it is all about what he does on the field. It was widely reported the Patriots did not miss Tom Brady at all during his suspension and I saw enough to agree with the media on that.

I do know what it means. I was just putting information out there.

its always nice to see when you show you know nothing about football except for what you read on NFL.com
Brady says that he will play until he sucks. Even when his arm strength declines, don't you think Bellichek will adapt around that?

A grade A+ QB and a Grade A+ Coach. Of course they are both better together. Darren Mcfadden got 1000 yards behind that Cowboy offensive line and he's a solid C- RB, see what happens with an A+ RB.

I remember a few years ago, after a primetime defeat to the Chiefs, everyone was forecasting the demise of Brady and Patriots. They have won 2 Superbowls since then. I'm done ever predicting that TB12 or BB are washed and over.

More GOATS in here than a petting zoo.

Tom has been saying that, its nothing new
Brissett, Cassel, and whoever else would not have driven the Pats for mandatory TDs and 2 point conversions TWICE very late in the 4th qtr of a Superbowl to complete the greatest comeback ever in the big game.

I'm sorry. It just wouldn't happen. That's why Brady is the best. He is the ultimate clutch QB in the Superbowl.

It's totally possible that the Pats would have made the playoffs with Garropolo at the helm but do you really think Jimmy Garrapolo could lead the pats to 31 unanswered points in the second half of a Super Bowl? I don't.

What does that link have to do with my football knowledge?

Tom Brady obviously did a great job moving the ball, but inability to score and a passer rating under 70 before halftime deserve some consideration.

Quote:He was the GOAT before this game.  This just cemented his legacy.  He will probably add another next year.

Before this game I wasn't sure.  Now I am.  In terms of QBs that have ever played the game,  there's Tom Brady and then there's everyone else.   This comeback considering the stakes involved ranks with any in NFL history.   What a game!
No other could have willed a comeback like we saw. Uterlly amazing to watch.

"Everyone else" is on different levels. Tom Brady tops a list of elite QBs, but the rest can't be compared to players who are just above average quality starters.

I know everyone likes to talk about who would be most trustworthy if your team is trailing in the fourth quarter. Well, Tom Brady showed no order is too tall for him, but the Patriots are rarely in that situation.

Maybe someone could come back from a lot but he would not throw 400 yards.
I wonder what the actual odds are of landing the best HC of all time and best QB of all time in the same span of time, then winning a Superbowl down multiple scores and score what.. 28 unanswered in just over 20 minutes? Idk, the more I think about it the more it just feels like a work..

I don see why he cant continue. The patriots gameplan doesn't require huge arm strength to get things done. Brady killed them with short throws, same way he killed the seahawks on that final drive before seattle took over, same way theyve done for awhile now. Its all about the short to intermediate for them so bradys deteriorating arm wont end them for a little while.

He's still got some real zip on the ball though - as evidenced by those longer out routes and come-backs on the opposing hashmarks.

He can go for another 5 years or so if he wants. Apparently his diet and continuous workout regimen is very strict and obviously conducive to a long and fruitful career.
