Quote:I'm complaining because I can't escape the [BAD WORD REMOVED].. There's a time and place for everything and an event such as The Super Bowl shouldn't be used as a political platform.

Why not? This is their chance to really convince people to sell out their sovereignty to globalism.  They've been doing it for years.

Better yet, it's been happening since Roman times. They created the games to distract the people.

Youth... no history, no perspective.

While you watch football and moderate a message board, children play on your lawn.

I call and raise you.

Debunked.

Time and time again.

Was  just about to post the same thing.

Ironic how some people are just denying the factual information when it comes to the wage gap. It's right there in the article.
I was just happy that there were not commercials informing me to call a doctor if my erection lasts for 4 hours.

Quote:Shouldn't you be teaching a class somewhere? Or was that a best selling fiction novel too?
Ah yes.... Once you have nothing left, try and make a dig at the poster.

If only there was a button to turn off your TV during commercials.......

It's not irony, only confirmation bias.

It's not true.  Again, it's a myth that's been debunked.  Over, and over, and over, and over...

But feel free to believe any falsehoods you wish.  It only makes you the smaller person, and the less informed.
Might as well boycott Google, MicroSoft, and Facebook while you all are at it.

He does this crap all the time. It took me a minute to get used to it.

Seriously, I want to live in your fantasy world.

Advocacy group distorts fact to enhance the position for which they advocate?

Ask your wife, sister or aunts how much they make compared to their spouses.
Quote:Seriously, I want to live in your fantasy world.

Reality is a lot better than the misery of the Imaginationland you spew.
Quote:I was just happy that there were not commercials informing me to call a doctor if my erection lasts for 4 hours.

4 hour erection ≠ 4 hours of erections.

Though some people on here clearly would interpret the statement that way.
Quote:Ask your wife, sister or aunts how much they make compared to their spouses.

My wife made the top of her union scale when she left to become a full time mom. As a result of the now 6 years she's been out of the market she would be rehired at...the middle of her union scale. Funny how being out of the market for long periods of time impacts your earning power, no? They don't want equal pay, the want the same pay for less work.
Quote:Ask your wife, sister or aunts how much they make compared to their spouses.

Do they do the same job as their spouses?  Odds are they don't.

Income inequality is a load of [BAD WORD REMOVED].

I believe I unearthed your ideology.

Should women be given the same amount of front loaded, or accrual rate sick time, as men being that the functionally of a woman's body, ie menstrual cycles, pregnancy is drastically different even though woman can prove they do the same job just as well of not better? Does that constitute in your mind as "less work" because they have those regular body functions which may cause them to go on leave?

Back to the first part of your response. Does your wife make more or equal to her counterpart in her position?
Quote:Gender based income inequality is a lie.

Shhhhhhhhh. You'll scare the children.

Gosh this is sad.

Benefits do not exist. They are manifestations of wages. Wages are determined by the economic output of an employee. So if anyone, male or female, is going to be away from the job site or the office more than someone else for whatever reason then that diminishes their potential economic output.

If you want to give more compensation, as a result of legislation, to a class of employees that won't be able to be available as much as other employees then you artificially make the expense of the protected class and then make it impossible for them to compete in the market leading to higher unemployment among the protected class.

Pay everyone in proportion to what they produce.
I love this discussion.

Doing taxes, I was going through old records to find what my wife paid for the rental we sold last year.

She made more than I did in 2000 with no experience or education in her field (vs 12 years in my industry and a college education.)

Her 2016 W2 was about 5% of mine as a part time employee who only went back to work very late in the year.

Why?  Carrer progression vs leaving the workplace to be a mom.

Could she have had a six figure W2 in 2016 and stayed ahead of me?

Absolutely.  But only if she'd stayed on a career path.  We chose to take that route.  We happily gave up the income for her to be at home.  That was our choice.

She could have advanced much faster than I did and had much faster wage growth as she would have had more opportunities for advancement than I did.  Women and minorities are favored to fill positions vs white males when qualifications are equal.
