Your suggestion is absurd. Since men and women are different we have to make sure they are equal (pay and advancement) except for what benefits the women (availability)? Seriously? It's unfair to those who DO show up for work to give those who DON'T (for whatever reason) the same advances, raises, and opportunities.
Yes, my "ideology", it's more commonly know as "work ethic." It's also commonly confused these days for "privilege" by those who make excuses for sloth, but fortunately there's not really much special about it except willingness to actually DO it.

Wow a superfemnist thinktank puts up an article saying the pay gap has narrowed now to 80% (i.e. meaning that when actually adjusted for hours worked and same careers women now earn MORE than men, but they won't breakdown that part). I will stop tho, you enjoy CNN and ABC, those are real sources of research.

Its amazing how many people don't understand the difference between gross wages for all men, and gross wages for all women not being the same thing. I will give you a clue, women don't work in the same fields as men, don't work as many hours as men, and take maternity leaves, hence why their gross income is lower. When you compare like to like, hour to hour, not only does the 'gap' disappear, but in many studies it is actually favorable to women.
But here lets make it more practical. Why don't you take 10% of your paycheck and give it to a female co worker. Obviously she is doing more for less money, if you give her 10% than you and her will make the same right?
I mean with all these lawsuits over unequal wages all the time this is definitely widespread, and you should do your part as an upstanding citizen.

Give 10 or 11.5% of your wage to your female coworker who is obviously being suppressed by your chauvinism. You need to check your privilege. How can you face your girls at night knowing that you make more money than your female coworkers? You NEED to make this right!

Solution: take 10 to 11.5% from men and give to women. No more wage gap. All is equal.

Women don't tend to work the same field as men, correct. Men, by an overwhelming margin, select career fields that pay much larger margins than women. Engineering, science, mathematics. All dominated by men because those are the careers men choose. Women have the same opportunities to pursue education and jobs in those career fields, but most choose not to.
How could you not know this? Why does this fact make you upset?
