I wish it weren't so, but at the moment I just don't see us doing any better than 6-10... if that. So far, there has been far too little emphasis on what was clearly the 'weakest link' on this team this past season... the offensive line. Until that o-line gets seriously addressed, we are going to remain bottom dwellers.

I guess Dave didn't see what he wanted this f/a period to significantly up grade that line with proven veteran performance.

I can see us sweeping the division. Playoff bound
Unfortunately I voted "under 8-8." As long as they are more competitive than 2014 and Bortles has clear improvement, I'll be satisfied.

Quote:I know 6 wins would be an improvement over what we have had over the past several seasons, but I just don't see how anybody would be "very happy" with just 6 wins and another double digit loss season.

It just seems to me that would be some low standards, especially in the 3rd year of a rebuild. Just too low for me, personally.

I voted a realistic under 8-8, but am obviously hoping for better.

I could see fans being "very happy" with an 8-8 record for this upcoming season though, as it would at least not be another losing record season, and that would definitely show improvement.

I know there is only a 2 win difference between 6 wins and 8 wins, but it would seem like so much more than that if the Jags could get to that 8 win total.
I don't know that anyone here would be 'happy' with a 6-10 season; I'm under the impression that the statement in question was rhetorical in nature; that is, not intended to be taken literally. I myself wouldn't be 'celebrating' a 6-10 season, but I would view it as an improvement over what we've been experiencing; at the very least, it isn't grounds to get angry and start demanding heads to roll... yet.

I would actually be very happy if this team achieved an 8-8 record this season; who wouldn't?! However, I still think we're another season away from realistically hoping for that; that is, if the team doesn't implode with injuries and the issues with the o-line finally get addressed.
I'm voting 9-7 because I don't want to stomach another rebuild. Honestly we have to at least go 7-9 or it's back to square one.

I see us getting 7 to 8 wins... This would be a better poll after the draft...
Seeing how 65% of the users voted under 8-8, I think the lower numbers should be added to the poll.  Something like 3-5, 6-8, 8-10, 11+.

The options in this poll are too optimistic to begin with...even if we all hope they have an awesome season it's just not realistic.

The first two years I was very optimistic of this teams success on and off the field, I'm going to be more realistic in my guess and say under 8-8 unless I am pleasantly suprised in the draft (or possible trades) the team (GM Dave Caldwell) hasnt done enough to bring in talent for HC Gus Bradley to gain wins.

Have you been hanging out with Sugar Bob?

If you aren't familiar with Sugar Bob, you will find a thread about him in the sideline section.

lol. no i haven't but i can only imagine. if we can manage to beat Indy twice, then i can see us being good enough to handle those other 4 divisional games. Then again, I feel that way every year. i been hangin wit Homer Sizzle!

When was the last time the Jags "wowed" you?

That question is for everyone.

Really? What were you actually expecting them to do in FA? I thought they did great

Added more words to your question.  I think it needed to be clarified.

The defense wowed me in several games in 2014.  The offense..... not so much.
I'm going with 6 wins. Still a lot of ? FS,Lb, De on defense and everywhere on offense. I'm hopeful that's Blake is Qb answer. I'm not big Marqise Lee believer and Blackmon is still best Wr on roster. Online been terrible for a while . I really like Gus but he's got a lot to prove. Go Jaguars!

Agreed. This is a MUST WIN season for Khan and Co. And I mean MUST WIN.

its might be a must win for Gus and David but Khan? Shad Khan isn't goi anywhere. I personally thank David Caldwell is safe. I think khan would give him 1 more opportunity to get coaching hire correct. Although if Blake just becomes Blaine then maybe not.

Blake becomes Blaine? Are you serious?

What are they going to do, neuter him?
