Is this likely at all now? Kevin White? Cooper?

Nope

Why not? Grabbing a LB that high is probably more of a reach.
No way, they would trade down before they took a WR at 3.

I don't expect it, but if David Caldwell views a guy like Kevin White as a "Julio Jones" type talent, then yea I can see him pulling the trigger on a receiver at 3. The Jaguars brass will do whatever it takes to give Blake Bortles the best opportunity to succeed, with that said I fully expect the Jags to select the BAP edge rusher as I don't believe there are any "Julio Jones" type talents in this draft class.

Nah son
Still don't see it happening, simply because they sank two second round picks on WRs last year.

Having said that, the argument for White/Cooper is very similar to the argument for Williams. It's not a position of need, but if the player is so good, you can't ignore him...
I would take Kevin White @ 3 in a heart beat. You talk about giving the best chance to succeed for Bortles, this would be it. Imagine: outside WR's: Robinson and White with Blackmon or Lee in the slot, TE-Thomas, and RB's-Murray and Shoelace. If he can't succeed with that, not the guy.

Assuming you mean someone like Fowler or Beasley. Explain.
A pass rusher is not only a bigger need but a more important position in general. White or Cooper would have to be a lot better than any pass rusher to sway them.

When your talking about pass rushers, legit 4-3 DEs are the ones typically slotted that high just due to their unusual size+athletecism combination.   Fowler is the closest to that but the other pass rushers being discussed are all in the 240s range, and typically not that rare from a physical standpoint and you can typically get them outside the top 5 very easily.  Someone like Clowney you'll never see drop out of the top 5.

So Von Miller was a reach?

Didn't we already have this thread? Historically LBs aren't taken in top 5. And there is a reason for that. Listing like one of the only times its worked out doesn't say anything. The list of successful LBs taken outside the top 5 is endless and there is also a good list of duds taken in the top 5. The bottom line is take the top LBs in the NFL and count how many were taken in the top 5.
I would love Kevin White
No thanks. More pressing needs to be met in the first round. If the options are WR or trade down, I'm trading down.

If the Jags can sign a starting Leo in free agency I'd love to have Kevin White at #3

This of course assumes Leonard Williams is off the board
No to a WR.   The way we are building our defense, with the FAs we are signing, it seems what we lack is the guy who can deliver the kill shot: an elite level pass rusher.    That would be Fowler or Gregory.
If we can sign Greg Hardy, Kevin White should be the pick for us... White is a stud #1 WR, Dez Bryant caliber player
Cooper or White is a possibility if we get one of the pass rushers in free agency

What is a more pressing need worth picking at #3 overall?  That is the question.
