Percy Harvin | NYJ

(February 11, 2015 10:03 AM EST)

ESPN New York's Rich Cimini believes the Jets will release Percy Harvin before March 19.

March 19 is important because if Harvin is on the roster, the Jets will owe the Seahawks a fourth-round pick. If he's not on the roster, the Jets will only have to send Seattle a sixth-rounder. Considering the Jets can wash their hands completely clean of Harvin's $10.5 million salary without a dead-money hit makes the decision even easier.

Harvin is electric when healthy, so he'd be a highly-interesting player to track should he hit the market. And it sounds like he will.

1-2 mill and some Naproxen.. Do it..
Let's pass on Percy Please!

We want Persy Harvey

~ Corrine Brown
Too bad we wouldn't get Tim Tivo
I wouldn't be opposed to it as long as he's willing to sign a team friendly contract (which is doubtful). We drafted Sanders with the hope that he could be our Percy Harvin clone. Now we can go get the real thing.
I would sign Percy only if he is healthy because he would add a spark to our offense and we need a spark. Instead of going after a big time WR like Thomas, Bryant, Cobb go after Percy who will be a little cheaper but will add the most threat any defense has to face. Yeah we have to build a game plan around him but so be it, I find him to be the perfect slot WR with tremendous speed.

If anyone would want this locker room cancer they are just nuts.

Whats with all the Percy hate? Maybe I just don't know much about him but being a Gator fan I love Percy never paid much attention to him in the NFL.
hes too talented to pass on if the right opportunity came to us.

This team steered clear of the locker room cancers with huge doo-doo results. Time to take a walk on the wild side..
Peyton Manning has a better chance of being a Jag than Percy
I'd be all over this. Dynamic player.
it all depends if the staff thinks they can make it work. randy moss didnt work in oakland, worked wonders in NE....

In addition to New England,  another team that could easily have interest in Percy Harvin is Dallas if they can fit him in from a salary cap standpoint.   Jerry Jones has a history of going after glitz or regretting that he didn't.   With Randy Moss in the 1998 Draft coming to mind,  regarding the latter.

Agreed.

Two additional thoughts come to mind at this time:

1.  Under Bill Belichick,  the Patriots have a long history of bringing in University of Florida players.

2.  Belichick puts a heavy emphasis on versatility,  something that Percy Harvin can provide on Offense and as a Kickoff Returner.

harvin would thrive in the Woodhead/Vereen role

id literally watch every pats game i could.
Quite possibly the quickest AND fastest player in the league. I'd love for him to come here and I think Gus would be able to handle him in the locker room. Just have to know how to use him and he'd become an elite weapon for Bortles.
