I'll stick by my statement from a few weeks ago that perhaps the original intention of bringing in Kirby Wilson to interview as the OC was really to entice him to ultimately accept a RB coaching position with the Jags.

Here is the Big Cat Country story on it.

I would recommend going there to witness Alfie being called out for having wrong information, him insulting a reader and then ultmately Alfie being proven wrong.

Classic.

I never followed Alfie before until 2 weeks ago.  I followed him for about 2 days before unfollowing him because his twitter feed was ruining the value of my iPhone.

LOL same.. I just follow BCC now it was too much.

Anyway, happy to hear we will get a new RB coach, hopefully Kirby!
Alfie is a bit of a joke. He writes well but he is more thin skinned than the average message board poster. He posts a lot in the comments section but it's mostly of the baby argument variety. He takes you out of context, bashes you as an idiot and then hides behind "reading comprehension" when he gets called out. It is all a game of semantics with him. But it's funny when you think of how stuck up he is to troll the comments section like that. Kind of a wuss if you ask me.

#Jaguars have fired RB coach Terry Richardson and are interviewing former Oakland RB coach Kelly Skipper for position.

He's been the Raiders RB coach since 2009.

Good idea. Lets nab the coaching staff from another 3 win team. Championship.

Can we swap you for an Oakland troll?

Oakland rushing rankings from 2009-2014:  21st, 2nd, 7th, 28th, 12th, 32nd

Don't get mad at me. I'm not the one hiring these guys.

I guess someone agrees....

Soooo... No?
Why can't we get an elite running back coach?

The NFL coaching carousel is starting to remind me of when I worked at JEA. They have their "good old boys" network and keep playing musical chairs with old guys way past their prime whom have failed miserably at their jobs, instead of giving young guys a chance to prove themselves.

Translation: You sucked there too.
They hired "Skipper" from OAK. Not excited about the hire but it was expected for obvious reasons with Olson being onboarded here as the OC. We were 21st in rushing last year and OAK was dead last. To me it's a step back. Maybe Bradley thinks along with Caldwell that if they can build a running game around Bortles that Olson can get more out of Bortles than he did Carr in his 2nd year. When you look at Carr's numbers. It's actually quite impressive when you consider that he had no running game at all. Played in a much more competitive division than we did as well. With that said, I am not a Raiders fan. So I can't tell you if his numbers were racked up during "garbage" time when/if they were getting blown out. Either way, not too shabby.

So the Jags hired a OC who had a #32 offensive ranking in 2014, a RB coach who had a #32 running game in 2014, and a HC who comes from a team that had this quote from 2014: http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2015/1/2...-kouandjio

Quote:There's no reason to beat around the bush with this topic: the <a class="" href='http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/buffalo-bills'>Buffalo Bills</a>' offensive line regressed at every position in 2014, and is the biggest reason [...] that the team couldn't muster enough offensive firepower to crack the postseason.

Unless he had a time machine, what was he supposed to do with McFadden and MJD?

Be a good runningback coach and figure out a way to assist Olson in finding a way to get it going on the ground... I mean... you know... since he's a runningback coach and all....

And to further go on that. Olson hired a guy that had a lackluster running attack last year. Do they even get on the same page and REALLY work together?

I hope the offense plays well this year. If it doesn't. This is exactly the kind of heartburn you're going to see and hear from the fanbase, etc.

We'll see...
