Fix the deficit/debt.   Bring the government's budget problems to a manageable level.

That's it.   If he can do that, I can probably forgive all the crazy stuff he does otherwise.

Jags message board. That's the first place they'll look!
He can be a great president by not allowing himself to be urinated on by Russian hookers.
Don't you guys/girls already have your message board safe space in the official whine thread?
He needs to also get the Welfare program under control.  People should not be able to stay on unlimited welfare.

Quote:He needs to also get the CORPORATE Welfare program under control. CORPORATIONS WHICH TAKE TWICE THE TAX DOLLARS AS ALL SOCIAL WELFARE PROGRAMS should not be able to stay on unlimited welfare.

You mean The Obama Lottery Winners?

I never threatened the president. I suspect his chances of catching a bullet are increasing by the day (though I wouldn't be the one firing the gun). 'Murica does not like dictators.
The Welfare program is supposed to help people get back on their feet...not feed them for a lifetime.

Pay people affordable wages plus stop wage theft and welfare will go away.

Just stop. You have a habit of tossing poo with zero or factual basis, nor credibility for that matter. Corporate tax breaks or "welfare" equal around $185billion. Social tax breaks equal around $1.2trillion. Add actual federal welfare to the individual social tax breaks and you are approaching $trillion. Yeah, not even close!

Taking politics a little too seriously this morning?

What does all that have to do with getting the debt under control?

Get back on topic!

(Channeling JW.  Where is she when I need her?)
You don't think getting welfare under control will lesson the national debt?

Quote:Pay people affordable wages plus stop wage theft and welfare will go away.

No it won't. Some people are just lazy and just don't want to work. They wanna skate through life and have others pay their way. That's a fact..

You know what can constitute as an affordable wage? 40 hours a week and a good budget. I had to rely on that for years. Why can't the majority?

Lessen it, yes, just like not buying a pack of gum will strengthen my personal financial situation.   But not much.  There's just not enough of it.

If you add up military spending, medicare, and social security, that's gotta be about 90% of federal spending.

So "getting welfare under control" is just picking around the edges.
