He can certainly help their scouting department. Just don't give him the keys to the decision making machine.

Pretty much. I'd guess "considerable role" is something like Director of College Scouting or something along those lines.
He's one hell of a scout, and as long as they keep him out of the draft room, he could be a huge help for them in evaluating talent.

Nobody will outwork him. The guy is like Rainman when he rattles off the metrics for prospects.
Just be cautious when he gets giddy over a punter New York.
