You must have mis-read the question. It was asking if we should keep Henne.

I'd rather test our luck in UDFA. Morris looked aight
The question of "who would we get" if we cut Henne is so funny.  Do people honestly think that we cannot pick any one to upgrade him?

I like Henne.  He seems like good people.  But man, he's not a good QB, even for a back up based on his price.  I know we have cap space, but that doesn't mean one should ignore fiscal responsibility.

There's a whole list of FA QBs in 2015 that I'd rather take a flier on than keep Henne...  http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/quarterback/

Pick one!

Or...  If you want to keep Henne, restructure his deal to 1 million per year...

Despite his potential $3.5 mil savings if released, money really isn't the issue. It's about finding the best guy for the spot. I really don't even want Henne at $1 mil per year. The only reason I'd keep Henne around in the offseason is to gauge the new guys in order to be sure you're finding a guy better than him. You still save the money if you cut him late, and it's not like they'll need that money at the start of free agency. The Jaguars lead the league in cap space.

I agree! It's not the money, it's not because he's the long term answer to backup qb, it's all about upgrading the position...Believe it or not, there are worse qbs out there and simply cutting Henne just to be rid of him runs the risk of either getting someone of the same caliber, or worse...Bring in legitimate candidates and have a REAL qb competition and then pick the best of those...Some feel anyone they can find that is available is better, some feel anyone whoes name is not Chad Henne is the perfect guy  for the job... Mallett and Sanchez have been suggested...Fine bring them into camp and have a REAL competition and take the best...

I think they are going to promote Henne to OC. The team really rallies around him!

We should trade for RGIII. Trade Henne and Lewis and a 7th rounder. They dont want him in Washington. We could use him here. Solid backup for BK5.
