Quote:And are these people doing a lot more dumb crap the face of the university? The fact that he acts the way he does knowing that he is the face of FSU football would be disturbing to me. But then again what do I care it's FSU. If he's the type of person who's celebrated on that campus, well that speaks volumes to me. Out.
With that line of thinking I guess UF is much worse...Aaron Hernandez...enough said.

Was he being celebrated once everyone found out what he is being accused of? That would be a no...nice try at a deflection though!!

Aaron Hernandez was never the face of UF football nor is he celebrated in Gainesville. In fact it's quite the opposite, UF has all but erased Hernandez from UF football history. Nice failing attempt though.
Quote:He's turned your into a laughing stock. They should have done more, I agree.

I hope he leaves this year...then I can go back to having a rooting interest in FSU. It would be better for all parties if he did (except maybe Jimbo)
Man arguing with you is like arguing with a wall. Your mind is clearly filled with hate and you're too blind to see anything beyond what the media has portrayed Winston to be. He has been cleared of any wrong doing by multiple parties but you dont care about justice, this is a witch hunt for you and its sad. I believe if Jesus himself came down and said he was innocent you would still think he did it. The hate is strong in this one.

Or he just has the ability to think for himself. You all standing up for him like he some model citizen are just sick. Really. I've been the victim of theft more times than I can count, thieves are a special type of scum, the kind who think they deserve more than others and have no shame in taking it upon themselves with zero regard for the damage they are doing in others lives. But please, continue standing up for this useless piece of [BLEEP].
The problem here is that you have a lot of people here who have given into the media hype and your hatred for an in state rival. There is no point giving you facts because you don't want to hear them. Last I checked he served his suspensions for both the theft and vulgar comments, yet many of you act as if he was never punished and got away with it. How much should an athlete be punished for these crimes?? Should he be suspended indefinitely for petty theft? Not allowed to declare for the draft because of a vulgar phrase? Some of you simply dont deal in reality and allow your emotions to guide you.

Obviously you have a personal bias based on that story, so I can understand your thought process. Doesn't make your opinion more right than someone else's. Nice to see we can have adult conversations here without cursing btw...Big Grin

Oh no, I hope cursing doesn't hurt your feelings, sorry. To be clear, I haven't given into media hype, never would, or an in state rivalry, I went to UNF. My main point here is I simply don't like the guy and feel he should have been punished more. But apparently FSU fans don't like it when anyone has a negative opinion about him and find the need to argue why it's a mistake. I don't like the guy, I think he's scum, it's my opinion. Deal with it. Sticking up for him isn't gonna change my mind.

Another point of clarity: I have absolutely no bias. If it weren't for him, I'd be rooting for an in state team to win the title.
It's obvious to some people they think they can play Jesus Christ and condem a person for a alleged crime they were cleared of.

Not once. Not twice. THREE times.

You do realize that he was involved in other crimes besides that one right? Oh...I'm sorry BJ, I forgot that stealing isn't a crime to you.

I know, right.  I've been arguing for several pages on here (for some reason) so i'm sure i was one of the posters he was pointing his finger at.  And i have yet to include the charges he was cleared of, even once.  Funny thats the only point they can make, so the stick to it hell or high water when it's not even part of the discussion.

The only criminal here is Publix. Jameis won the Heisman and a National Title, he should have as many crabs as he wants!!!!

Some people type perfectly well, even on the Internet.

There's no excuse to make elementary school mistakes.
Quote:who got thrown out of school for shooting bb guns, stealing crab legs, or yelling obscene phrases?

Guess you didn't learn capitalization in elementary school.

I never said that. He was brought back, payed for them, served his suspension and did community service for it. Publix got their money, and he did his penance for being an idiot, which is why it doesn't bother me that much.

Don't you get it?  He should be suspended indefinitely or kicked off the team for stealing crab legs and having a potty mouth.

I'm sure you feel that way about all common criminals that get caught and forced to do the right thing too, huh?
