Quote:Lol at all the Teddy hate. Pirkster, weren't you the one who thought Teddy was going to fail in the pros as hard as Ponder did?
Maybe that bad pro day was a blessing in disguise after all.
Actually Teddy was supposed to break in half already.
Best qb in the class as most of us thought....
What do you expect, he is Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Peyton Manning all in one.
Nah, more like a more mobile Matt Ryan.
Give it time. Bortles will be the stud of the draft. Who was drafted in 2000? People only know one name, Brady. (not saying he is, so relax).
Teddy had a decent rookie season as the experts said he was the most pro ready and went into the best situation with Nov Turner and the Vikings. That said I still think Carr had the better season with the situation he was put in
Quote:I wonder how he would have done here, had he played with the same team BB had to play with?
Just a thought.
I think he would have performed well here too.
He appears to be good at moving around the pocket to avoid pressure and we know he's a good passer. And as the Vikings fan says, their team is a bit patched-up at the moment (they could also do with strengthening their OLine this offseason.
He will be a good QB for them.
The argument for taking Bortles was always that he had the "high ceiling", the potential to be great, rather than just very good. It was a gamble and we don't yet know whether it will pay off.
Honestly, I'm a little bit jealous of the Vikings, because I think they made a smart choice, but good luck to them.
Just glad he didn't go to Houston.

Its funny he has all these so called league records, top half running game, and top half of the league defense but they only have 7 wins.

Tim Tebow took over a 1-4 Denver team and took them to the playoffs. Then beat Pitt. in the playoffs to only lose to Brady and the Pats in Foxboro.
Holy crap, that dude just brought up Tim Tebow in a Teddy Bridgewater thread. It may never end.
Tebow owes Willis McGahee a truckload of money and a new set of knees for that season btw. Oh, and Demaryius Thomas taking a 5 yard slant 80 yards for a TD is the tebowite battle cry for why he should get another chance. "It was just the most beautiful damn slant throw I ever did saw."

Peyton Manning was a bust his rookie year, and RG3 was a Hall of Famer after his.
I'll hold you to it down the road though.

and if rg3 never got injured he would still be an all-pro
sometimes stats dont lie

bridgewater has been the best rookie qb this year by a wide margin, the stats at pff show this as well
