I was listening to the Jags pregame show last night on 1010xl and Pete Prisco was on. He mentioned that he's heard around Everbank that Cobb may be a target of Caldwell's if he hits free agency. Today a report came out that Cobb hasn't had any contract talks whatsoever with Green Bay so there's a chance they might allow him to test the market. Would you be a fan of this? I sure would be.
Is he actually a FA in 2015? I thought GB had him for another season
If Cobb hits the market, That would be the PERFECT veteran, talented WR we need to get bortles someone 100% reliable. Lee and Robinson are still inconsistent with routes and such. Hurns is hard to predict.
I can't imagine why the Packers would not try to keep Randall Cobb after all he has done for them. Letting him walk would be a big mistake. He is the kind of WR we need to replace Cecil Shorts.
In that article, Randall Cobb said he is not worth being paid like a #1 WR and wants to stay in Green Bay. Sounds like he would be willing to reject a richer contract to keep catching passes from Aaron Rodgers.

He did not say that.
Brandon Scherff and Gurley/Gordon/Johnson in the draft, Thomas and Cobb in FA, Bortles works on his footwork all offseason, Lee, Hurns, Robinson continue to improve, and Blackmon comes back. All of a sudden we have the makings of a dynamite offense.
The best part is Cobb is a punt returner. Would definitely help here.

Cobb said before the season that he didn’t think he had done enough on the field to warrant a big deal.
So yes, Randall Cobb did say he is not worth #1 WR money. How can I be wrong there?

Did you stop reading there?

True, but the punt team is not giving Ace Sanders anywhere to go.

Of course not.
SMH, JDub, really? Cmon now, this is getting absurd.
Whether Randall Cobb is worth #1 WR money or not, he would definitely be an upgrade over Cecil Shorts. I don't think anybody who watched him play coiuld deny that.
Would love to get him but I think he will get franchised if he isn't redigned
Would also rather try hard after D Thomas or Dez if they are available

A better bet is Wes Welker. When the Broncos got Emmanuel Sanders, the signing was reported as a replacement for Wes Welker, who is in the last year of his contract. That means they want to keep Demariyus Thomas.
I also read Dez Bryant is more likely to get the franchise tag than DeMarco Murray, but don't know if that is true or not. I would rather get my paws on Murray.

Without being mean; I disagree with literally everything you just posted.
1) Wes Welker is old, tiny, and a concussion magnet. He's played with Peyton Manning and Tom Brady for nearly his whole career. He's not likely to put up any kind of numbers in Jax.
2) DeMarco Murray has never finished a full season and has always been limited by injuries. I'm a firm believer that you don't sign a guy to a big money deal, just because he had a great season in his contract year. Not to mention, the cowboys are beating the breaks off this kid. He's got close to what 350-400 carries this year? That's insane.
Back to Cobb, I would love to see it happen, but I highly doubt it does. Rodgers is on record saying he wants Cobb there, and Cobb is on record saying he wants to be there. I'll be pretty surprised if he hits the open market, and shocked if he becomes a Jaguar.
Put me in the column that would love to sign both Randal Cobb and DeMarco Murray.
BTW, how are we going to spend 60+ Million in cap space for 2015?
Signing these two if available would be a good start.
