Quote:I appreciate your overreaction...no one advocated throwing it 60 times a game. If I did, feel free to quote me in your next post.
I'm just doing what you said to me yesterday. Remember 10 years of patience?

Quote:You need more than a second. Its a 3 step drop and the WR needs to beat the press at the line. You combat the blitz by running slants, screens, and draws. Lageman touched on it yesterday on Jags Monday that they tried to run a slugo route on Landry's blitz play. That ended up in a sack.
I would love for us to throw the ball around. But we need to clean up a lot of stuff before its going to be a realistic option.

Quote:I almost feel like you've stopped watching the jags after the Cincy game... Our running game has been pretty much shut down after that. The opposing teams have realized our only option is to run, and are forcing that issue, knowing that our OC is not going to adjust.
Quote:Our QB has sucked since the Browns game as well. (Winning that game in spite of Bortles) So we have no passing attack, and no rushing attack. What would you suggest?
Quote:Maybe I'm missing something? How is not being able to change a running play neutering Bortles as a QB.
Quote:Hot reads are our friends. It's on the coaches to install that type of wrinkle into the game plan. If the coaches are too scared to do that, get rid of them and bring in coaches that have the stones and confidence to implement an NFL type offense.
There's really no way you can defend what is happening on the field without suspending reality.
Quote:Punt on 1st down.

Quote:Hot reads fall on the QB, not the coach. I know they are available to him because hes called them before.
Quote:Forgive me, but can you name a time in the last 2 months where u saw a hot read?
Quote:You and FBT might as well be twins.
He asked for a link saying that and he provided one.
It has nothing to do with him passing the ball?
Quote:Exactly, I really believe that BB has taken it as a kick in the junk when they made it public that they were going to hold him back. Makes no sense at all.
It's like taking away his man card.
Quote:And you and Jeremy must be twins - going back and forth congratulating each other on your terrific insight and knowledge. Must be cool to be an NFL insider.
Quote:Our QB sucks because our coaches believe he sucks and cannot handle more intricacy in the game plan. I was listening to the radio a few weeks ago, and a former coach of Peyton came on and was talking about how he kept challenging him during games, even during blowouts. He said he was also excited about Sundays because as Peyton began to make mistakes and games got out of hand is when he started adding more options for him to learn from.
Our coaches are doing the opposite, as the season is slowly slipping away, they are giving Blake less responsibility. It's amazing why anyone would look at our situation and defend how our coaches are handling this situation.
Quote:LOL - now you're Dr. Phil!
Tell us again how BB is a winner at heart. Such insight.

"While Bradley talked on Monday about having some run-only plays called and possibly discouraging Bortles from calling an audible in those situations, the overriding feeling is there’s no need or inclination to curtail the rookie quarterback."

"Bradley said the Jaguars had 22 running plays called against the Steelers, but quarterback Blake Bortles checked to passes on seven of those plays. Bortles completed five of those passes, threw one incompletion, and had the other pass intercepted and returned for a touchdown. Bradley said Bortles did a good job with the checks, but also said he’d like to see more runs called where there isn’t an option to check out."
There are the facts...happy spinning!

Quote:So, he checked out of plays. That tells me they're letting him audible. Thanks for playing.
Quote:I reposted and even copied and pasted below so you can read again. And still, Bortles is checking out of plays on a pretty regular basis, so once again your reposting does nothing more than reiterate the fact.
