Quote:Good move by the Gator four kicking that guy or on their own. What a piece of trash
Yep, that guy has been a locker room cancer and he's a freshman. Was one of the best dt/de's from his class too, waste of talent.

It wasn't meant to be funny, just an observation of the similarities between the 2 teams and HCs.
Get off to a 9 point lead and POOF what happenend? Outcoached again.

I don't blame Dave for the hire however...Rookie GM hiring his first coach and it is easy to see why he fell in love with the guy. Very passionate and has a real love for the game and a good leadership quality. It takes much more than that though clearly.

Timmy wasn't a good qb

lol, unfortunately being spot on is a bad thing for both teams.
I also agree, I can't blame Dave for hiring Gus, he probably came across great in the interview.
Looking back now, the Jags really needed an experienced HC since the team was going to be so young, and not a first year guy, but I still can't blame him for the hire, Gus was a hot DC at the time.

Quote:Timmy wasn't a good qbI dont know man...12250 career yards, 145 total TDs a Heisman and 2 national championships is pretty good. I would love to have him at UCLA. Or are you arguing for the sake of banter? In which case I like your style amigo

Quote:lol, unfortunately being spot on is a bad thing for both teams.Oh absolutely. Everyone loved him from his first interview where he was cracking jokes. Became a fan favorite instantly and is a awesome personality. It will be interesting to see who comes in next though and what Dave has learned from this hire. I may be in the minority but I think this team is quietly stacking talent on its roster, waiting for the right guy and the right scheme to come in and use it properly.

There are a lot of college coaches that would disagree with this.
I disagree with it also, I don't think you can call a guy a bad QB when he won a Heisman trophy and lead his team to a Nattional Championship, was part of another championship and played in the SEC, arguably the best college football conference.

Nearly everyone likes Gus and I sure wish he was the guy, but so far, his 5-22 record says otherwise.

Quote:Timmy wasn't a good qbYoud have to make your point clearer. Are you saying he never was a good QB? Or he wasn't a good pro QB, but was a great college QB?

At this point in the game in glad to be hanging around. Let's give it a go here in the second half boys

the offense looked good on that last drive. gotta capitalize on what special teams and the defense is doing for us.
