Down playing it. Are you not reading travs posts? He said there were maybe 15 posters. And you even said there were the same amount of gator/tebow supporters as there were gator/tebow non supporters. You theb retracted that statement. I'm just saying for whatever reason it is being down played to bolster an argument.
Quote:theyre still undefeated. 11-0..... fear the <del>spear </del>(herd)..... all that nonsense.
Should FSU be in the top 4? Yes or no? Should the herd be in the top 4? Yes or no? It's like you are arguing for the sake of arguing.

what im arguing is that someone is saying that FSU should be in just because they are an undefeated power 5 conference. that is incorrect.
if FSU is in, its because the committee THINKS theyre a top 4 team. it has nothing to do with record.
in my personal opinion, i dont think FSU is one of the top 4. I dont think marshall is either, but marshall has almost as good of an argument as FSU if people want to rest on the undefeated thing.

Ok so FSU is in and committee thinks they are top 4. Really that is all that matters. Anyways, don't let me stop you from having pointless arguments.

again, it isnt a pointless argument. i know your feeble brain cant understand that.
if i said something like "the officer in ferguson wasnt charged with anything and the us government thinks thats correct. really that is all that matters."
does that mean it would be pointless to argue that too?
edit: im not trying to dig into that statement by the way. just an example.
Quote:You are correct.
But it is highly considered.
"A prominent argument against the status quo has been that it favors the Automatic Qualifying, or “power,” conferences in Division I FBS football: the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Big 12, the Big East, the Big Ten, the Pacific-12, and the Southeastern Conference."

A criteria and considered are completely different. Par for the course here.
Quote:You keep saying this, yet provide no examples of his high school behavior and no link to this supposed story.
the examples are out there. It's well known. I'll give you your advice to JW, try google.

So Gator fans came in here in the hundreds saying they wouldn't buy or renew season tickets ?

I tried. All I found was that article that you or Josh posted that was already talked about.
i just read that FSU and Bama are in talks for 2017 season opener. Honestly not a bad strategy for FSU. This way by the end of the season they can hope the commitee forgets about that loss and they can still argue that they scheduled the big boys.

If that's the case, hopefully the committee would reward us for losing like they do with the SEC.

This will become the norm I believe. The new system makes it more valuable to do so. It's a very good thing for college football fans
I think its time for the "big 5" to become the "huge 1"

explain to me how they are rewarded?
if you mean because in general the SEC teams play stronger programs all year and just because they have a loss and FSU who has barely won against much weaker compeition, then yes, i guess they are rewarded.
id much rather take a 1 loss SEC team who has beaten LSU, Miss St, arkansas, tennessee....florida.... blown out TAMU, than an undefeated FSU team who could barely beat boston college, louisville, NC state....etc.

I shouldn't even have to explain to you how they are rewarded. Everyone except the SEC dweebs see it.
So you would take a one-loss SEC team who has beaten an average, good, average, bad, bad, and a bad team over a team that's won all their games? I guess with a gauntlet like that, who wouldn't?

the only reason those teams are ranked so low is because of their record. if LSU, for example, was in the ACC, they would be competing to win the conference.
if you wanna go by rankings, alabama beat the number 1 ranked team. the best win FSU has is against what? # 21 clemson?
its one way or the other. the rankings dont matter and you and i both know that those SEC wins that alabama and miss st have are way more impressive than florida state barely beating ACC scrubs.

I love that logic. "This team is low because of their record because the SEC beats up on each other. If they were in the ACC they'd be running the conference easily because they're an SEC team."
And since the committee said they look at rankings at the time the games were played, we beat the #5 team in the country.

the # 5 ranked pile of hot garbage. time will tell you all you need to know about your overrated FSU team.
its not because theyre an SEC team btw, its because theyre a very good team and they happen to be in the SEC.
