Rules are rules. The ref was standing over the ball because it wasn't supposed to be snapped until the ref gave the OK. Pushing him out of the way isn't getting the OK.
There was no flag because the ref was in the wrong position when delaying the snap.
There was no flag because Jameis is untouchable.

the ref couldnt get into place in time because the noles were running a hurry up so he positioned himself there to do his job. he specifically told jameis to wait. jameis pushed him out of the way.
Quote:Like it or not, believe it or not, Winston should have at least been flagged for what occurred late in the game. Not sure why some are surprised as to what the ref was doing. It's not uncommon. It's relatively new based on the rules, but this is the norm now. The ref is there to let the defense "match up"
I just think it is such a non story that I'm surprised we are still discussing it. There are flags that should be called all throughout a game that aren't. It really isn't that big of a deal.

But there was no flag thrown. The ref who got pushed made that decision. And we could go back and look at the game and I'm sure 10-15 other flags should have been thrown like the pass interference to Green on the sideline.

It's Jameis though. The New York Times probably has a story already written about this.

That was the ref fault he was in the wrong place. Once the offense made a substitution, the judge should have IMMEDIATELY stood over the ball at the LOS to delay the snap which allows the defense to make their allowed substitution which they are always taught to do.
Quote:Kelly's scheme is horrible.
His lack of adjustments is worse.
Quote:i honestly think at this point a logical and objective mind could understand why fsu would be left out.
Punish a undefeated team based on how they win, yet reward teams who have a loss, or losses.
Gotcha.

You didn't know? The SEC gets rewarded for losing.
Kelley is a complete idiot with his defensive schemes. Thank goodness FSU has athletes to overcome his stupidity.

shoving a ref (which normally warrants ejection) is a lot different than missing a holding call or a PI

the best teams get in, not the ones with no losses.

And the only conference that has like 15 teams in the top 25 preseason poll each season.

Kinda like that no cal for pass interference in front of the ref. No calls occur all the time and are at the discretion of the team of officials. I get it though, you guys want FSU to lose so bad you will try to find anything to get Winston off the field. Go cry some more in a corner. 27-0 and counting. Haters gonna hate. Next up the lowly gators.

He actually was trying to get under position to snap the ball.
Again the ref was in the wrong spot. I guess you missed the apology he said to Winston.
There was alot of missed calls like the obvious PI on Green, and the obvious helmet to helmet hit Winston took on by a defender who launched himself.

It didn't get called. I'm not sure what else to say. The ref who was pushed did not throw a flag.

LOL at you guys trying to justify someone breaking the rules.

And one of those teams will be FSU if they are undefeated. Hey, at least you guys clinched a bowl game this year, congrats.

There's no justification needed. It wasn't called. End of story.

why does it always have to come back to florida? we are talking about FSU. (thats the definition of envy. in a discussion about FSU and you always have to bring it back to the florida program thats owned you)
and ok, i never want to hear you mention a missed call ever.
