Chip Kelly went into #Jaguars[Image: NFL_Season_2016_JAX.png] OC job interview believing he was going get an offer. Has some assistant hires ready. Good chance it happens.

We already have his O-Line coach.
Well if it happens we can only hope it pans out. He has always seemed to be able to run the ball though. I just don't want him tiring out our D.

I'll tell you what.. i'd rather have Chip calling plays than Hackett

Me too lol someone new.
This doesn't make much sense to me.

However, just about every person on this board is trusting Coughlin. Don't you trust him to know who should be OC then too?

Nothing we did before was working so why not Kelly? I'm willing to give this entire season a chance.

Now I don't particularly like Kelly as a person but he won't be trading away Hurns and ARob like he did in Philly.
Nice
I can't believe that some of you would really prefer Hackett to Chip? Kelly may not have succeeded as a head coach, but there's no denying he has a great offensive mind. Additionally, I don't know how anyone can hold this year against him. San Francisco is a dumpster fire and no one was winning anything with that team this year or next year for that matter.
I'd be totally on board with Chip as the OC.
um str8 bruh
I'd rather Hackett
I hope this movie ends up more like Oceans 11 and less like The Expendables.

Even if it doesn't work out, at least we're swinging for the fences this time. Our last three offensive coordinator hires have been Bob Bratkowski, Jedd Fisch, and Greg Olson; none of those hires inspired much confidence from the very beginning.

The biggest concern is Blake having to learn another offense in his 4th season.

If people want to see is Blake is the real deal we need stability. We cannot go through another season of personnel changes that delays Blake's development.
Chip, Marrone, Coughlin.

3 strong minds. If this goes wrong its going to be an almighty fireworks display

Has anyone had 3 consecutive guys get the same position and be THAT bad?

After that list, i'd take a blind Chip Kelly.

This also lets Hackett learn from Chip, if he does move on in a couple years, Hackett can step in and take over with what he has learned and keep up with the continuity.

This is a huge point that is being overlooked.
Quote:I think there are legitimate points one can argue against Chip Kelly and his offenses, but his success at running the ball isn't really one of them.

He says singlehandedly ruined Murray for a season by trying to turn him into a north/south runner instead of a downhill back that he typically is.

false and terrible logic.

we should've just kept Jedd Fisch then if the most important thing is stability.

Even if we decide to retain Hackett as coordinator, Blake's going to be learning a new offense.
