edit: i removed the dancing bananas because im sad now that hes staying until season's end.

on a laughable but actual serious note... id take muschamp as the defensive coordinator in jacksonville haha

espn's article says he will coach the last 2 games and then step down.

Yeah I just saw that, had to have been a step down or you're fired moment.

I was hoping it'd be Roper coaching the final two games so we could finally see some playcalling like he did at Duke.

i wish i could see the future and knew who they were going to hire as his replacement.
So I'm guessing Dan mullen is the lead candidate?

They've got someone specific in their sites if they announced it all today.

No way in hell Mullen is the lead candidate. I believe he would be pretty far down on the list.

Hopefully someone like Hugh Freeze.

Bob Stoops is another name I think people can stop bringing up.

Roper suuuuucks.

Roper has been handcuffed by Muschamp all season.

He wanted Treon in from the beginning of the year, and even when he finally comes in, he never passes the ball.

I'm not saying Roper is good, but he's not even able to coach his own game.

Link?

Florida's AD always said he will evaluate everything at the end of the season, so I knew dismissal would have to wait until December.

So why did Muschamp hire Roper? If he wanted to handcuff his OC from the beginning, it made no sense to change heads at the position.

This is like JDR hiring Dirk Koetter. It was more of the same old three yards and a cloud of dust even though Koetter wanted more passing.

You're right it was exactly like Koetter, who was known for his vertical game at Arizona State.

Complete waste of time for both sides is all it was, that's why I was hoping to see what Roper did with no Muschamp.

Guess we won't see it.

I hope Kirby Smart is the lead candidate.
i think david cutcliffe has done a great job at Duke and i wouldnt be upset if he was hired by florida.

edit: but there are better candidates out there.

Is or was he is a head coach?

Sometimes a coach doesn't know they are getting in their own way. I doubt they hired them with the intentions of not letting them do their jobs.

He's the DC from Alabama.
