Well Nole's fans haven't been pushing the Jags fanbase to draft FSU players because there hasn't really been many players worth drafting until recently. But FWIW this Gator fan never wanted the Jags to draft Tebow.

I think my point is to remind people how crazy it was.  We finally saw it die down this year, though a gator/tebow fan did post something on the board a few weeks back.  Also, considering that was 3 years after he was drafted it only strengthens my point.

You know as well as I do that if Jameis Winston was a hometown kid with the pedigree that Tebow had in college on and off the field that Nole's fans would be obnoxiously pushing him like Gator fans did with Tebow. Let's not pretend any one fanbase has the moral high ground here.

No other fan base has done it like the gators did with tebow.  You can tell us what we Nole fans would do, but we haven't done it and no, I do not think Nole fans would come anywhere close to what the gator fans did.  Again, gator fans have a history of pushing florida players even before tebow.  

 

And this isn't about morals.  Just showing how arrogant the gator fan base became during their run and with tebow.  As if no other player could make the Jaguars better.  And let's also remember this went on from 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 until it finally died down this year.  4 years after he was drafted.  So no, I do not think Nole fan base would push any player like that hometown or not.

Wasn't just arrogant Gator fans who wanted him here. His religious fanatics far outnumber the Gator fans who wanted him here. Not every Gator fan thought he was the savior for the Jags so your sweeping generalizations are a little off base. I'll admit Gator fans were over the top with him but not this one.

I didn't say every gator and I've recognized several times it wasn't just gator fans. Read through the thread. It has no effect on my point though.
