Mississippi State struggled again to beat a fairly mediocre opponent. Last week it was Kentucky, this week it was Arkansas.
Texas A&M was given a lot of credit for beating South Carolina and was as high as #6 nationally but yesterday struggled to beat Louisiana-Monroe 21-16.
Georgia was was ranked in the top 10 this week and just gave up 400 yards rushing to the 84th ranked offense in the country.
Absolutely. It is every year. It's the best conference by far, but not nearly as good as these SEC blowhards claim it is every year.

Agreed.
It isn't God's gift to football.
It's funny, 2/3 of the examples you used played SEC teams. Right now, in my mind, only FSU Mich St abd Oregon are thr only teams that have a shot against the SEC

Let's clarify, not against the SEC, against Alabama, Auburn, and maybe Miss State. The rest of those teams are pretty middle of the road. Who's afraid of LSU, Georgia, Florida, Missouri, or the the bottom feeders of the East? The SEC has 2 or 3 elite level teams where the other power 5 just have 1 or 2, that's the difference in perception. Let's not act like the worst of the SEC is better than the best of the other conferences.

Never mind that fact. Regardless of what conference a team is in, nobody will think it is good if it is not ranked. The point is obviously Georgia could not beat a bad team. Not only did the Bulldogs lose yesterday, but their last two to touchdowns were in garbage time. Georgia scored first, then gave up 34 unanswered points. Seeing them unable to stop the run despite knowing Florida can't pass in a 25 mph wind with a new quarterback makes me think they were obviously overrated.
They are beating each other up, how does that make them overrated?
Lol SEC won like 9 of the last 11 championships
Oregon, FSU, Wis., USC, and Ohio St. are teams that are overrated!
If the top teams dont crush the middle of the pack and bottom tier teams the conference is overrated. If the middle of the pack and bottom tier teams dont crush their non-conference opponents, the conference is overrated.
But just like every year, they usually win more of their non-conference regular season games against power 5 conferences. And then the 4th best SEC team usually beats the 2nd best Big12 team in the Cotton Bowl. And the 6th best SEC team usually beats the 2nd best ACC team in the Peach Bowl. And the 5th best SEC team usually beats the 3rd best Big10 in the Outback Bowl. And the 7th best SEC team usually beats the 4th best Big10 team in the Gator Bowl. And the 9th best SEC team usually beats CUSA champion in the Liberty Bowl. And then more players will get drafted than any other conference. And on and on we go....

I was wondering how long it would take for this to get brought up.
so when every other conference beat each other up they just suck. I seem to remember this being said all the time about the ACC in past years.

Yep. If FSU beats Virginia next weekend 17-10, the ACC is terrible. Arkansas losing by 7 to Mississippi State last night shows how deep the SEC is.
the same Arkansas team that hasn't won an SEC game in how many straight now??

Hey now, lets not knock my Hogs too much.... they did beat the crap out of Texas Tech on the road. And then beat Northern Illinois by 40 points... the same Northern Illinois that is 3-0 against the Big10 the last two years. Arkansas does fine outside of the SEC.... just cant beat anybody inside the conference.
Although 10 bucks says they clip Mizzou at the end of the year! Theyll finally get a win.

They beat the 3-6 Texas Tech Red Raiders. Color me impressed.
It's overrated. Not grossly overrated. There's a ton of talent there, but yes, it is overrated to an extent.

It is grossly overrated because people say the SEC as a whole is worlds better than all other conferences, but Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Kentucy, Arkansas, TAMU, South Carolina, Florida, and LSU are not even close to the level of Georgia, Missouri, Ole Miss, MSU, Alabama, and Auburn. So what's happening is terrible teams are being labeled better than good teams in other conferences. I heard or read Kentucky is decent this season. Why? Because they forced overtime against the Gators, who also suck?
Aside from Vandy id take any of the mid level SEC teams over any mid level team from another conference.

Lol, its the best conference by far....but you say its over rated. Comical.
You just said what the people who say the same thing about the SEC say, but they over rate them?

You're missing the point....as usual. Those bottom tier teams in the SEC are still better than the bottom tier teams of every other conference. You could put a team like Georgia in the B1G and they would probably win it (this can be said for a couple other teams in the SEC and maybe even the ACC)
Point is, if a mid level team has the chance to win another conference, its a pretty decent conference.
Just because one team was able to win the national title doesnt mean they fell off...it just doesn't mean they had the best team in the country that year.
