Quote:Red is not a pass rusher

Davis, I disagree that he has superstar potential. he is a motor guy

Marks is dominating right now, but it's not fair to expect that he will be your premiere pass rusher.

Brackens is the game changing defensive pass rusher that would make this defense elite, imo.
Brackens was not as good as you make him out to be

23, I just have a non bias memory. Just like the lot of you saying Blackmon played at an elite level when in reality he only had a few games above average and 2 really good games out of 20.

The fact that you compared him to JJ Watt in this thread makes me want to know the same thing of you.

My mistake that was someone else, but he was never an elite pass rusher nor would he be a good choice to bring back from the past to the present. We don't need pass rushers right now and we have bigger issues.

Brackens could very well be the next Jaguar inducted into the Ring of Honor.  He was a force and the numbers don't tell the whole story.

As someone who saw him play, let me assure you, the guy was elite.  He had a couple of years there were he was if not the best, one of the best two or three DE's in the league.  This is yet another case were stats only tell part of the story.
ok so you didn't see Brackens play. Now I understand why you would mention stats.

But see, there's this thing called "forced fumbles" that Brackens was exceptionally good at that most DEs aren't.

he would get a sack forced fumble fumble recovery and completely change the game.

he even scored several times as a DE.

thats what you have to consider. dont just look at sacks

Brackens was dominant
you're 23 years old and your'e in here talking dogmatically about a player who you didnt see/or didnt understand what you were looking at because you were only 7 or 8 years old.

My favorite player, Montell Owens.
Boselli

Had a nice chat about music with him around 2010.  Very cool guy.
I mean come on, it has to be Fred.
Tavian Banks my second favorite Jaguar next to Fred

You don't understand the point of this thread tho, what player would you bring back and put on TODAYs team,.Brackens while he was a good player is not a need for this team right now where as Boselli (A BETTER player overall and a guy who would fill a position of need would be a much better choice) or even Fred Taylor (Tho I think D Rob might be the future at the position) Jimmy Smith in his prime would be huge for Bortles.. there are so many better choices for this question.. I have seen Brackens play I know he's good but he's not elite and he wouldn't be a guy we need right now compared to the other options.
Montell would always stop after training camp practices and we would talk briefly about the U of Maine. Good guy.

Taylor easily
Todd Bouman. Get off that tractor and make this a reality. Honestly though, id love to see Freddy T in his prime. I didn't get into NFL until about '07. I really hate I missed out on the good years and when Fred was slowing down a bit.
