What we need right now is corners so how about 2003-2008 Rashean Mathis?

lol, over Fred and Tony? Ha

Please tell me that you are choosing some of these players over the older better players is because you did not see the older Jags players play.

You were either too young or not a Jags fan yet.

That or trolling are the only things I can think of on some of these choices, unless maybe they are some kind of relative.

Mark Brunell
Boselli is probably the most talented player to ever play for the Jags, but with Joeckel I don't see Boselli as the biggest upgrade.  I think you add Jimmy Smith to this team and the offense becomes far more improved.

It would be out of Taylor, Brackens, Darius. The only one that could change the whole complexion of this team and save Mr. Pick 6 AKA Schaub Jr. right now is Freddy T. A homerun hitter like that on offense right now would guarantee a lot of wins.
The Fred Taylor especially from the early part of his career would make a tremendous difference for a developmental QB like Blake Bortles and for the entire Jaguars Offense and Defense.

What we need is Alan Ball back.
Quote:Montell would always stop after training camp practices and we would talk briefly about the U of Maine. Good guy.

It was very disappointing for me that Montell Owens couldn't stay healthy since coming to the Lions in 2013.  While Rashean Mathis is having another strong season,  unfortunately Montell Owens is spending the vast majority of his 2nd straight season on I.R.

As great of a Special Teams player Owens has been,  he's got an uphill battle to be on an opening day NFL roster in 2015.   Even if his NFL career doesn't continue,  Owens can take pride in what he accomplished in the NFL.   Much like with Rashean,  a true professional!

How many former Jaguars are in Delroit now including Montell Owens? A few years ago it seemed like the Lions were Jacksonville North.

Speaking of former Jaguars on IR, we won't have to worry about Justin Durant in London.

It's unfortunate that Justin Durant's season ended.   Durant was having one of his best seasons and was a major reason why the Cowboys Defense was improved this season.

There are still a number of former Jaguars on the Lions 53 man roster:

1.  CB Rashean Mathis  ( starting RCB )

2.  DT C.J. Mosley  ( He was having a very good season before his recent 2 week suspension by the team. ).

3.   S- Nickel CB Don Carey.   A Backup in both roles.  A very good Special Teams player.

4.  LB Julian Stanford  ( Began the season on the Practice Squad.  Was promoted after injuries at LB occurred.   Has to cut down on Special Teams blocking penalties. ).

This doesn't even include 3 former Jaguars Assistant Coaches that are on Jim Caldwell's staff and the former Jaguars G.M.  having a significant role in the Lions Front Office.

This. Freddy T is the man. But jimmy smith would get this team some W's. He knows how to catch, go deep, run routes. He had it all.

I had no idea the Jaguars ever had a guy named C.J. Mosley. That name makes me think of the rookie linebacker from Alabama.

Mike Tirico said Justin Durant is the leading tackler in Dallas and playing his best football ever as a Cowboy.

The C.J. Mosley from Alabama that's now a major part of the Ravens success is a different player than the C.J. Mosley had has been with several teams,  including the Jaguars.   He was with the Jaguars for 3 seasons,  before becoming a salary cap casualty with the Jaguars new regime in the 2013 off-season.

The major obstacle that held Justin Durant back in the past both with the Jaguars and Lions,  was injuries.  Hopefully,  Durant will overcome his latest setback.   The good news is Durant has already been preparing for a post NFL career.

What kind of career is that?

Smart move, but I don't think this one will end is career. It is a torn bicep.

39 games played with the Jags between 2010 and 2012...
Tony Boselli.  Easy pick in my opinion.  Anthony Munoz (regarded as the greatest O-Lineman of all time) said Boselli was near his level.  A healthly Boselli is a 90%+ voted-in  first year HOFer.
