Quote:I understand some of your positions of Thomas getting better In The Future. I also understand that he is New To The MLB Position...

Compared to the previous play at the MLB position... Thomas was Pedestrian at Best. I too hope that he'll make strides at the position but I didn't see any instincts. I DIDN'T SEE HIM MAKING PLAYS BEHIND THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE.

So again "How Well Did He Play"???

NH3...
We definitely did not take a step back like you're thinking. Thomas may not be the run stopper Poz is but Thomas is better in coverage and didn't constantly overshoot gaps and get beat in coverage like Poz does regularly.
I thought Thomas played very well. Guess I should've checked the box score to prove me wrong. /shrugs

Again? When did you previously ask?
Quote:Did you even watch the game? Thomas played just as good as Poz has been playing, probably even better. The fact that you think he didn't play well because he didn't get 10+ tackles is ridiculous.

He was not as good as Poz but also was better than pedestrian. As always on this board the answer is some where in between the two extremes.

Actually I was seated within the stadium until the clock hit 0.00... For you to say that Thomas played just as good as [BLEEP] is as you say, RIDICULOUS... Thomas played NOT NEAR to the perfoemance of [BLEEP]...

LOL...

NH3...
NH3, why don't you take into account the obvious fact that today was the first time J.T. Thomas started at MLB and therefore he cannot be expected to have more than five tackles?

JT had a solid game. What game were you watching?

I see your point and I ask you this...

Within the second half of the game, was the middle of the defense exploited or was I seeing things?

It was a little bit, but not nearly as much as when Poz is playing...

The fourth quarter was when he intercepted a pass.

Anyone would have picked that off, just right place right time. That pick should be more credited to T Smith

"JaguarsWomen" not only did I take this in account. I understand that this was his FIRST start at the position. That being said. A person playing at the position for the first time compared to a person playing at the position throughout is'nt "A Step Backwards"?

BINGO...

JaguarsWomen do you get the point?

His INT does NOTHING to enhance his performance...

NOTHING!!!

NH3...

At this point, I'll ask Again n Again n Again n Again n Again...

Get The Point?

NH3...
Lay off the drugs dude.

Thomas had a good game. Did you watch the game or look at box score?

....box score, huh? Yeah I figured.

Quote:Thomas had a "Good Game" you say? In the middle of the third qtr. his stats were posted on the Jumbotron... 3 tackles and 2 assists. Call me spoiled but [BAD WORD REMOVED] would have this total within the first 9 mins. of the game...

I don'd doubt that he'll progress but we today took a step backwards at the MLB position...

Anyone w/vision could see that...

NH3...

Box score. Got it.

Well for those of us that were watching the game and not constantly staring at the scoreboard, we noticed a defense that was on the field about 15 snaps the first half, the vast majority of which the defensive line dominated.

What happens when the defensive line dominates? I'll tell you because it would seem you understand the game of football about as well as a middle school cheerleader.

When the defensive linemen dominate and make lots of tackles, there are less tackles for the rest of the defense to be involved with.

Pretty simple really.
I am glad that losing a starter on this team didn't have disastrous implications. Sometimes it does. It didn't, and that's good.

Anyone who actually watched the game knows that Thomas was doing just fine at MLB.
Yeah it could have been terrible without our leading tackler. Jt was just a good fill in for Poz. Nothing less or more. The sky wasn't falling without Poz as people in the media predicted.

Furthermore, not sure we missed Branch much either. Especially when 8 means more snaps for Ryan Davis.
