Man...I agree he played awful just look at the stats, I wish he'd done his part giving up more first downs to the Dolphins so he had more chances to get tackles...

He doesn't know that's what he's supposed to do yet...he's still learning
Quote:Thanks.

There have been a lot of unfounded rumors floating around this place recently.

I remain unconvinced. Look who is vouching for you, after all.

Well he needs to learn fast, god forbid we dominate an offence again..
Ok so I have looked at 2 different stat sheets and it says he had 6 tackles.  JT Thomas played really good yesterday.
Thomas had a good game, and a solid debut at MLB.  There were a few gaffes, but nothing that stood out as a blatant error.  Considering how well the defense played until they ran out of gas despite being down key starters, I'd say it was a successful outing.

Quote:LOL

Thomas had a good game. Did you watch the game or look at box score?

....box score, huh? Yeah I figured.

I agree. Actually I thought our linebacker group overall had one of their best games of the season. Defense has definitely been stepping up as of late.

Yup.  With Thomas out there, the LB corps looked much faster and better in coverage.
Quote:Thomas' name was barely announced during this game. The highlight of his day was the INT. He was fortunate to get it.

Three to Five tackles as the MLB???

Seriously!!!

We'll miss [BAD WORD REMOVED]...

Often I find myself surprised when posters that I normally consider coherent and able to exhibit some signs of intelligence go off the deep end and make posts such as this. I admire your conviction based on your perception, but you are totally off base.

Without looking at the film, one of the biggest reason that Poz had a high rate of tackles is due to the offense constantly taking advantage of his coverage skills or lack thereof. As one poster said something along the lines of "yea making tackles down the field". Poz was, for the most part, a very sound tackler and he most certainly has strengths. But Thomas did what a MLB should have done, he showed solid coverage skills, took advantage of an opportunity (INT) and ran the defense well as the leader. Sure he didn't get 10 tackles but you would be unrealistic to compare the two after one game.

Listen, it'll be ok. I'm sure  you'll realize the idiocy of what you created in this thread and you can spend the next couple of weeks saving face and eliminate this ill be gotten reputation you have developed in this thread.

Well Said whether you Believe it or Not...

NH3...
I'm going to attempt to, Again, make a point...

We lost an Veteran and replaced him w/a First Time Starter at the position... Did we take a Step Back?

Poz tallied double digit tackles since when? Thomas tallied six since Sunday... Did we take a Step Back?

Poz flawlessly aligned the D while Thomas endured his First Encounter while making mistakes... Did we take a Step Back?

I seriously pray that J.T. Thomas fills Poz's shoes but those are some BIG shoes to fill...

NH3...
Poz is trash

No we didn't take a step back. We actually took a step forward in coverage.

Poz isn't that great so the shoes Thomas is filling aren't too big

My posting in No Way was intended to be Pessimistic. The responses of those opinionated as I turned this into a negative environment...

Where did All of the Hate for Poz come from? When he's introduced at the stadium his arousal is surpassed ALL...

All I'm saying is that we'll miss Poz...

I don't hate on Poz, infact people hate on his money etc, I'm one of few to think with our ridiculous cap space having an experienced guy on defence is worth it and I definitely do think he's a good player,

I just don't think the hate you have jt Thomas was deserved , he had a good game.
Man I love da Poz....but Thomas did a good job. Its a big job being in the middle and calling the Defense.

Heard him on the radio....he said he played the middle most of his career and was happy for the opportunity.

Pretty dang good start I think.

We'll see what Lageman thinks tonite.

It's hard to rack up a lot of tackles when the offense is going 3 and out and not completing first downs. I mean seriously they were held to like 4 yards in the half.
Dang
we could've had khalil mack...
