Quote:we packed 65k fans in everbank this year ... those packers, broncos, and vikes games sure were crowded

LOL

You know what I mean.
Agreed.

Lets hope talks about us moving to St. Louis or San Diego (or London) never pick up.

As an LA resident I can assure you that we will not support two losing teams. I don't think this experiment will last long at all.

I have been following the Rams since the Roman Gabriel/Deacon Jones days, and I can tell you that the Rams have never been overly popular in LA.  Even during the Vince Ferregamo era when they made their last trip to the Super Bowl, the Coliseum was partially empty during many games for many years.  The Raiders were (and still are) the most popular Football team that has ever been in LA, hands down.  So this makes me wonder how this move will ever be economically sustainable, other than the TV revenue.  The move really makes no sense, and looks like more of a spite move against the San Diego city politicos than anything else.  Be ready for half of whatever stadium they get stuck playing in to be empty seats.  Maybe they will just close the upper deck and keep the cameras from panning up.  I have family in San Diego who have been Chargers fans since the Don Coryell teams, and they are disgusted with the city politicians for their general apathy and poor efforts to keep the team in San Diego.

Browsing the LA times sports section and saw a link to a story that read something like "chargers shouldn't expect a big welcome to LA". I thought damn that's not a good start. Here's the chargers new dodger logo.

That logo just gave me syphilis.

Word on the street is that their slogan for the move to LA is, "Comin' Home".

Lol... That franchise's marketing staff is run by inbred spider monkeys.
Quote:HERE HERE!!!! Suck it San Diego Beat writer!!!!

I went to our Charger game there 1 1/2 years ago.  There were fans holding "LA Jaguars" signs and being total tools.

I wish I could contact them and ask if they can recall drawing those posters, and what they did with them after the game.
Jaguars should stay in Jacksonville with the new regime of Tom Coughln and Doug Marrone. Chargers came forward and moved to L.A. Instead. GO JAGUARS!!!!!

As you can see that Logo was created by someone that was exstaaaaaaatic about them moving there.

I just remember the douche writer saying once the Chargers leave no problem "well just take the Jaguars."

The "artist" that created that logo probably doesn't even watch sports.

I was at that game too.  Was visiting family.  33-14.  I couldn't believe I actually saw Chargers 'fans' in Raiders gear there.  No wonder they lost the team.
I grew up in LA but move to Florida 20 years and I have lived a total of 3 years in Jax. I was in LA when both the Raiders and Rams moved. First most people were happy when the teams moved basically because we were tired of the teams cry for a new Stadium. Next we had Baseball, Hockey, and Basketball teams. Finally we had 2 big time college teams. So we still had football. Just not NFL Football

Upond moving to Florida in 1996, I decided to root for the Jags. Jax would be devastated by the Jags moving. There is no real other identity to the city other than the FL/GA game. However the city always makes the necessary improvements to the stadium, practice facilities to keep the team. Put a team that wins 17 games over 5 years in LA and they would be drawing less than a Pia Zadora concert

As for SD, I did my undergraduate degree there. The Chargers should not move from the city.
khan worked hard on improving the stadium. I've been to Oakland and San Diego in the last 2 years. When you're afraid of tripping on the severely broken steps or raggedy hand rails. They needed new stadiums and both cities said no.

Only St Louis got screwed. They had s plan and the owner and Goodell said screw you.

Thank you Khan!

It will be interesting if the Raiders move to Vegas, just a few hours away from LA.

Kevin Acee took an unnecessary shot against the Jaguars today.  Acee is one of the most respected NFL media in the country but this was certainly not one of his better moments.   I understand his anguish about what transpired with the Chargers.   Yet,   there are better ways of dealing with adverse situations than this.

<p class="">This is so jarring. It's not like they were the Jaguars. They took one of the best logos in sports and ... damn.

I'm not convinced that the chargers will have a decent hometown fan base in la for the first 10 years.

Rams HAVE a fan base here.

And they only sold out the first game.

Rest of the time it was a ghost town.

La is NOT a football town

It's a few hours to LA from Vegas if you leave at 3 am.

Try leaving la heading to Vegas on a Friday afternoon to spend the weekend and catch a raiders game?

Hahaha mofo.

You'll be parked on the 15 Fwy with the 200,000 so Cal idiots who are heading that way to blow their pay check gambling.

Happens every Friday.

Takes 6 hours to drive there.

Coming back Sunday night is even worse.

Road rage is the norm.

Because everyone is broke and has an STD.

You ever get really high and observe spider monkeys? Or just monkeys in general?

Scary creatures. Can't imagine them being inbred, lord have mercy.
