How much did Khan buy the Jags for? And how much are they worth now? Obviously there is a difference between wealth and income, but it'd be hard to suggest this hasnt been a lucrative business decision by Khan so far.
Few teams are immune from the possibility of moving. As long as Khan keeps investing in the team and the stadium, and as long as the city doesnt throw up too many barriers, I would have to think we are safe for the next 10-15 years. But depending on how things play out in the future, and especially if the NFL really does start to lose TV viewership/revenue, the economics would begin to change.
Even if an NFL franchise triples in value under an owner, it's not like they realize that gain until they actually sell it. Think of it like owning a home on a much larger scale. If you have 500K equity in your home, it really doesn't help you until you decide to sell.
Khan likes being an owner too much to sell.
Quote:So they will build a stadium for the Jaguars but not the team you already had? OK I also own two small islands in the Pacific anybody interested in buying them?
I'm offering a ham sammich and the hub cap off a '74 AMC Gremlin.
Quote:Jaguars should stay in Jacksonville with the new regime of Tom Coughln and Doug Marrone. Chargers came forward and moved to L.A. Instead. GO JAGUARS!!!!!
What the hell are you talking about man?
The Jags will stay in Jacksonville and belong here.
Quote:all the California teams are a mess of some kind or another. B-ball , soccer and hockey are bigger there
Lol what? I wouldn't say that in the slightest.

Have you ever heard of Reverse Mortgage or Line of Credit ??
We established a significant line of credit off of our equity that allows us to make other investments or complete renovations.
Reverse mortgage --- bank draws a fixed monthly $$ from your equity and pays you according to the agreement that you execute. This allows older people to enjoy the equity $$ they established and not necessarily have to move out of their house to spend.
