Quote:Heres the thing though....Branch had this injury coming into this game. Not sure the decision to even play him was a smart one.

Don't you think that increased his chance of re-aggrivating it? (which he ill-fatedly did)
Stupid coaches.  I wish Dave would just hire you.
Quote:This might be how his career as a Jag ends, I think. If it is, going out on his best game as a Jaguar was a great way to do it.

Still has another year left on his contract.

I don't think they'll cut him after this season.

They'll address the position in the offseason and groom his eventual replacement and then let him walk in the following offseason.
Quote:Both injuries happened late. I wonder if either should have still been in the game at that point.

trollololol

When Poz injured his pec, the game was 10-6.

Get out of here with this garbage.
This just in: the Jaguars have hired TMD as their head trainer. He's now responsible for deciding who should and shouldn't play. He's also going to be the head coach, because he can make those decisions so much better than the guys making (collectively) millions to do so.

Seriously dude, give it a rest. Not every bit of news needs your bullsquonkey spin on it. Football players get hurt, they play hurt, and sometimes they get hurt again by doing so. Branch and Poz weren't the first guys that it happened to, nor will they be the last, and those injuries aren't going to stop teams from playing guys who aren't 100%, but are well enough to contribute.

The only way I could see him back is if he restructures his contract. It's a possibility, but I just can't see it at this point.

I can hear the post game chant now "We Believe in MSG!  We Believe in MSG!  We Believe in MSG!"

Blame "Badly" in 3....2....1....

He won't need to.

They won't start a rookie MLB next year, so they won't be cutting Poz this offseason.

...and there won't be anyone who's anything great from that position reaching FA this offseason, so Poz will have to remain for one more season.

I doubt they even make him re-structure.
Hopefully he keeps it up and gets banned again soon.  The collective IQ of this board would instantly soar.

Quote:Poz just might have played his last game as a Jag??

Naw. He is still a two down backer.

Why everyone keeps feeding him is beyond me.
Poz went back in the game because he knew it was bad and would be out for a significant amount of time...

This was his last game as a jaguar

Thank you for your services
What a joke, we should have pulled our defensive starters?  Get out of here with that garbage!

Quote:Hate to see the guy get injured, but Poz isn't that good anyway. He can't rush the passer and he can't cover.

Branch is the much bigger loss.

Are you crazy?   Poz had 12 tackles, a sack, and a fumble recovery yesterday.

what he's trying to say is that he's happy about the injury

That sucks, we don't really have the depth to not feel 2 key players out for an extended period of time.

Quote:Naw. He is still a two down backer.

He's been that for awhile, despite incorrect denials from some.

And he's been just average at best the rest of the year.

He'll probably be back next year as they draft/ groom his replacement, but that will probably be his last here.

Yesterday. Yes. I am referring more to his complete body of work.

Just telling it like it is. Don't put words in my mouth. If someone doesn't agree with you, it doesn't mean they root for injuries.

Naw, what he said was...

Quote:It is very easy to both realize he is not a good player and at the same time be sad about the injury.

I think you are crazy if you think he isn't a good player.
