Quote:Why take the throttle off I'd crush them for 60 full minutes ! Lol

The game was 10-6 when Poz got hurt. He was just trying to snipe at Bradley hoping nobody would notice.
Quote:Same.  I remember him grabbing his pec area and wincing in pain pretty badly after that play and thinking he just tore it but then he was back out there a few plays later.  Obviously that was where it happened and he just played through it the rest of the game.  Tough break.

Same here. It was apparent something bad happened on the play in question.
Quote:Take the emotion out of it. He is an average LB that was greatly overpaid. He can't cover. He can't rush the passer. The majority of his stats come from making tackles after the 1st down has occured.

And........he's still the best LB on the field. Whether you like him or not this defense will struggle without him. There is no one on this roster that would be considered an upgrade at this point in time.

But you don't disagree that he can't cover, can't rush the passer, and the majority of his stats come from making tackles after the 1st down has already occurred?

Got it.

That might be true. And?....

They probably would have struggled with him.

Games like yesterday were the anomaly for Poz at this point.
i know this is a horrible thing to say but this couldn't have happened at a better time.

I love poz but I could never bring myself to buy his shirt as he is an old school run defender in a pass happy era. Nobody better as a tackler and a leader but he was never a solid coverage linebacker and with his starting to loose a step he is on his way out.

Here we have 9 games to install a new guy as the leader of our defense with the season already pretty much out the window, preferably a building block we already have on the defense. If it works out well poz becomes expendable and cuttable making a big saving, if not we know we need to find a guy in the draft and can keep poz on the inside playing our new guy on his outside and letting him learn the defence next to poz and telvin smith until he is ready to replace him

gutted for the guy, but this could help us in the longterm

Telvin Smith was the best linebacker on the field yesterday, if the Jaguars can protect him against the run, the sky is the limit for that kid, he's so atheltic and instinctive.

You said "the majority of his stats come from making tackles after the 1st down has occurred."

You really believe that? Or better yet, do you have anything to back that up in the slightest?

You making up stuff I fully agree.

Just my eyes and the brain behind them. I wouldn't even know where to begin to look for stats like that.

So, if you recall the play, you recall it was 10-6 at the time.  Care to explain your comment regarding it happening late and questioning why they were still in the game???
LOL... and when we lose his production and leadership on the field, some will be wondering what just happened on this very board.

Same as it ever was.

Why are people getting so bent out of shape and accusing people of being happy about injuries for the accusation of Poz being an average linebacker?

Just cause he is the best we have doesn't mean he is good.
Wow this sucks... Best of luck, Get healthy and come back strong.

I recalled the play didn't recall the exact score at the time. Thought it was later.

maybe it has something to do with you being in here arguing tooth and nail about how bad he is when the guy is hurting right now. give. it. a. rest.

If something is factual, is it really an argument?

Got it.  You conveniently forget the information that doesn't fit the agenda. Makes sense.
