Quote:This, if Bortles is a running QB then so was Brunell lol

Fun fact:

Brunell had more rushing yards in his first three years than Bortles first three years, in less games.
Dammit! It looks like he is going to Denver.. Was really looking forward to having McCoy here Sad

People the offense was garbage last year.. Please don't forget....
@bradwellsnfl Source: Jon Gruden has been approached regarding the Colts head coach job, which is still Chuck Pagano's. Gruden is interested in the job.

Ummmmm

Fine by me, dude is majorly overrated.

Agreed. They can have him. Never understood the Gruden appeal

Overrated head coach to go along with their overrated qb!

This is a recipe for disaster crafted by the hubris of men that deserve the epically oedipal level of tragic train wreck that such a hire would wrought upon that miserable franchise!!!

Please let this happen!!!
Has there been any word on if he signed with the broncos?
Btw... How about Pagano as DC?

I don't understand why people think Gruden is god when it comes to coaching. He won a super bowl but it was Tony Dungys team. I really don't care if they hire him or not. Pagano or Gruden they both will stink and make Lucks career crap along with the GM.

Won with Dungys team, beating his own assembled Oakland team.

LOL.. exactly.
You guys would be so happy if we hired Gruden lol this posturing is unnecessary
Any update on McCoy?

I see the Rams and Chargers both hire coaches, and Wade Phillips and Leslie Fraser get hired tho

Also Mike Smith staying in Tampa

Its luck's knowledge of the spider 2y banana that allures him
All these early coaching moves.  I think the Jags have the best hire so far, IMO.  (biased of course)

At the very least,  the safest hire.  None of the other 4 HCs hired have HC experience in the NFL and probably anywhere else for that matter.

Not me, as illustrated below:

Quote:Also his success as a coach has been embellished since he joined ESPN. Gruden may prefer to have people think he's great coach while getting paid by ESPN to praise everyone under the sun than come back and have everyone find out he's actually pretty mediocre.

Quote:I don't really understand the fascination with Jon Gruden. I know he had some powerhouse offenses in Oakland and won a Super Bowl in his first season with Tampa Bay, but he was a sub .500 coach in his remaining six years in Tampa Bay. In fact, in his seven seasons there, Tampa Bay only finished above the league average twice in yards and not once in scoring:

2002: 18th in points and 24th in yards

2003: 18th in points and 10th in yards

2004: 23rd in points and 22nd in yards

2005: 20th in points and 23rd in yards

2006: 31st in points and 29th in yards

2007: 18th in points and 18th in yards

2008: 19th in points and 14th in yards

Tampa Bay's success was largely due to Monte Kiffin and the Hall of Fame talent they had on the other side of the ball.
