Quote:I don't understand why being a game manager is considered a bad thing for a QB. Every QB should manage the game, that's what they are supposed to do
A game manager is someone who lacks the ability to carry the team on his back when they need it most. He's limited to the pieces around him.

If you're down by 6 with 59 seconds to go who would you rather have as your QB, Alex Smith (game manager) or Aaron Rogers (game changer)?

Enlighten me, what am i always wrong about?

You don't understand what people mean by "game manager." When people use that term, they are talking about a quarterback who is more game manager than anything else.
Dear lord.....a game manager is a game manager. Im DYING!

This is why i'm glad that we got Blake Bortles because he's a playmaker and not a game manager ya dig. lol.

Well that certainly explains it doesn't it?
Did Johnny swan at least make #33 on Jaws list?

Who was 32-26?

Well, genius, what team are you the gm for or even a scout since you are the perfect talent evaluator?

How do you find the time to do all of your research in between being the toughest guy alive?

Hahaahhaahjajaajjaajjajahhaha
Quote:I actually admitted to being a bit ignorant to Bortles as I didn't watch a lot of him at UCF. Since I went back and watched Bortles footage at UCF after we drafted him, I've been on board ever since.

Bridgewater is still going to be the top QB from this draft, IMO. I guess you're just being one of these people that are overrating one bad performance by Bridge against the Detroit Lions #1 pass defense.

Carr blows.

So. You didn't watch much of Bortles in college. But nevertheless had strong opinions on him at draft time. After the fact you claim you went and rewound UCF games and voila, changed youre mind with the unique talent of hindsight. Bull factor 10. Credibility 0

You know, thinking about it now, I'm not sure TMD actually watches ANY football games.

Your opinion has evolved into flipflopping.

"Hey, what's a game manager?"

"Well, a game manager is a QB who is a game manager."

A game manager is a QB who isn't going to make many big plays or single-handedly lead his team to victory, but he knows how to maximize the strengths of the players around him, and he doesn't make stupid mistakes. There are far worse things to be called as a QB, but Bridgewater (who I was wrong about, btw) being termed a game manager lacking great arm strength at this juncture doesn't bode well for his potential as a perennial Pro Bowler.

I agree with what you said but I'd also like to add that a lot of people say you're either a franchise guy or youre a game manager.

1. A game manager can be a franchise guy

2. I think there are a lot more categories than just 2 types of QBs.

You Killed Ace Sanders for being too small in stature to play in the league for a better part of last season. (In your defense, you stopped doing that.)

Now, you completely disregard it when it comes to a player you were high on.

Double standard big time.

Andy Dalton and possibly even Kaepernick would fall into that category.

I disagree with the Andy Dalton game manager stereotypes. If you check out that guys stats, they're comparable to, if not better than lucks in every category.

Andy Dalton gets a rap as a game manager because he doesn't have the strongest arm in the world, and he's surrounded by a great supporting cast that makes life easy for him. I think he's a much better QB than he gets credit for.
