A game manager is someone who lacks the ability to carry the team on his back when they need it most. He's limited to the pieces around him.

A game manager is a QB who isn't going to make many big plays or single-handedly lead his team to victory, but he knows how to maximize the strengths of the players around him, and he doesn't make stupid mistakes. There are far worse things to be called as a QB, but Bridgewater (who I was wrong about, btw) being termed a game manager lacking great arm strength at this juncture doesn't bode well for his potential as a perennial Pro Bowler.

I agree with what you said but I'd also like to add that a lot of people say you're either a franchise guy or youre a game manager.
1. A game manager can be a franchise guy
2. I think there are a lot more categories than just 2 types of QBs.

Andy Dalton gets a rap as a game manager because he doesn't have the strongest arm in the world, and he's surrounded by a great supporting cast that makes life easy for him. I think he's a much better QB than he gets credit for.
