Quote:Gratz played well yesterday, and has been pretty solid all season, not sure what your definition of suck is.
Like his choosing Dillard over Shorts, he picks a name out of the hat and slings it against the wall to see if it sticks.
Sherrod Martin will be playing nickel...
Colvin is progressing I want to hear from coaches where he's at

said he expects to practice Wednesday, and also said he expects to continue practicing this week. “I should go the whole time,” Colvin said. That’s a change from last week, when Colvin worked limited on Wednesday before getting a scheduled day off Thursday and not practicing Friday. He has been on the Physically Unable to Perform list since training camp while returning from a torn anterior cruciate ligament sustained at the Senior Bowl. The team has two weeks to activate him, and if he is activated Sunday he could play the nickel corner with starting nickel

out an extended period with a fractured left index finger. Colvin said he has not been told if he will be active Sunday. “Whatever they tell me, I’ll be ready to go,” Colvin said.

Colvin at nickel looking like a real possibility. Safety Sherrod Martin also a possibility at nickel. Less likely are the two newly added DBs - Thompson and Campbell. Those guys are likely here as insurance to injury.

Insurance is good, unless they refuse to pay...

Colvin does need to get acclimated w/respect to conditioning. I expect to see him play sparingly at first and if he performs as expected his roll should be expanded...

Starting to get some Don Carey deja vu

As per Bradley, Colvin's speed and quickness is extreme. He's impressing to say the least while he's being introduced slowly...

Colvin practiced all week for the first time this year after practicing only one day last week. However he has not had a full practice yet.

As Bradley has touched on his quickness, I've never heard of him "Hitting Hard"...
I sincerely hope so...

Will this be the time we get 2 potential starters finally back??
I hope Colvin can come back and solidify our defensive backfield.
Marcedes coming back should also help, although I do think it's time for us to finally find a reliable and healthy TE for the future.

Anyone stepping up in the backfield and looking good would help at this point. It's really really bad.
I've seen Colvin's highlights, and while I realize it is in college, he definitely looks sharp. I surely hope he translates to the NFL and doesn't become a dud like most of the secondary we've drafted recently.
As long as he's healthy, he's better than anything we've got even if his conditioning isn't 100%.
Here's to hoping he's ready to go sooner than later.

i dont understand why gratz is so inconsistent. i know on the one play that dez scored his second td on gratz, he had slipped but his play still has been up and down.

Why?
Carey, in his wildest dreams, was never considered a first round prospect.
Granted, Colvin is a mid round, unproven guy while Carey was a late round pick of Cleveland that Gene Smith stole from the Browns.
But Colvin at this point has to be considered the superior prospect between the two.

Lol I think he's just saying how Carey was injured
