What part of Canada? my Dad's from Canada, Wawa Ontario and then they where in Newfoundland for a while before coming to Florida.

@SuperJville -- I'm stating to just tape reality and let the rest play out.  People should conduct themselves in public as if the world is watching.  If they are ashamed to have their parents, kids, and/or coworkers see something, perhaps they shouldn't do it.

Exactly.  It's not some exclusive we have here in Jax.  Watch any game around the league and you'll see a good chunk of the fan base sneaking out early regardless of what's happening on the field.

I think that's a great idea if someone is being violent or doing something dangerous.  I don't think it would be appropriate to do that for someone that's just cursing, for example.  

Blasting fans for leaving early? That's our new issue?

Let's focus on a team that has caused fans to boo, leave early and let opposing fans buy up tickets.....for years!

Get something to cheer about. Fans may just stick around.

I'm just amazed that as bad as the team has been for most of the last 15 years that some people are going after fans for leaving a little early.

Not all condo and apartment complexes ban satellites, so it is more likely he did not consider the fact that many do. Maybe DirecTV brainwashed him into thinking all HOAs allow satellites.

Jags, I would think if the cable companies were allowed to show all NFL games, the league would be richer than it is giving them to only one satellite company.

Quote:Tough loss yesterday and disappointing in the end, but fun to have a good close game against a good team and fierce rival and have the game still be in question late into the 4th quarter.  The most disappointing thing, however, was seeing the droves of fans get up and leave with about 5 minutes left in the game and us being down a touchdown and 2 point conversion.  I understand there will be circumstances that require some to leave by a certain time.  I also understand leaving early during a blowout, but for that many people to get up and leave with the game still in question just to beat the traffic is not acceptable from this fan's perspective.  It's effectively lessening the homefield advantage to a degree at the most critical time of the game.  Shame on you if any who left early are reading this now.

 

When I first saw this thread and the subsequent post, I really took offense to this.

 

Then I thought about it I was one of those people who left early not because of the loss, but because of the thousands of Steeler fans remaining in the stadium towards the end. It didnt feel like a home game and much like a few others, I live about 45 minutes to a hour away from the stadium. 

Anyone remember this?

I stayed because I thought the Jags were playing for overtime.
