Quote:How many times does it have to be said that the Browns would have matched ANYTHING we offered?

Anyone who still does not understand that yet never will even if you show them exactly how much money the Browns have and how much the richest NFL center is paid. It should be noted David Caldwell inserted an option to leave the team in 2016 as a UFA, so we may have another chance at him in two years.

<p style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">Chargers S Eric Weddle fined $22,050 for hitting #Jaguars TE Nic Jacobs after touchdown catch.

<p style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">

<p style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">#Jaguars DE Andre Branch fined $8,268 for skirmish with SD's King Dunlap (who was fined same).

I will never understand why the stupid referee did not penalize Dunlap, who was much worse than Branch in that scuffle.

Yeah. Would be nice to have another shot, as I feel he would come here. But hopefully after 2 more seasons we won't need to.

Yes, Mack did like us when he came down to get the job offer. I think Caldwell put the two-year clause in the contract because he knew the Browns would match it.

Of course, that topic is for another day. I am sure it has already been discussed many times.

I guess as many times as you want to say it. They match anything as you say then they will just lose more cap space. I don't need you to tell me something that's already been said though.

I have said it too and will say it again every time someone says we should have made the contract unmatchable. Some people want to think they know better than David Caldwell, who understands you can't make a center richer than your quarterback no matter how good he is.

Mack is currently richer than the Browns' starting QB

We broke even!
Bye Mickey

Quote:Shuler waived - Ace activated.

Insult added to illness. Mickey had very little opportunity because he got sick.

Ace is being brought back slowly. He will have a liimited role on offense.

Ace will have a limited role? I seriously doubt that.

Brian Hoyer is not the team's franchise quarterback for the next 15 years and compared to Brett Favre.

Obviously he'll field punts, but they may limit his offensive snaps if his conditioning isn't up to speed. (which is often the case with guys returning from suspensions)

I could see him in on 25-30 offensive snaps.  If they run around 60 or so -- that's "limited." I look forward to seeing a water-bug move or two this week.  Love that lateral elusiveness he has.

J.P. and John said that.
I'm stoked Pasztor is back.  Hopefully that helps out quite a bit with pass pro.

I don't think they're going to have to choice but to play him. No shorts and no Lee?

Ace will definitely play on offense, just not as much as you would think. He is going to be rusty from taking four weeks off.

Of course they play him - it's a question of how many snaps he's on the field.  I think it won't be much more than 30, if that many.

They have Hurns, Robinson, and Brown active as well as (I think) Tavarres King  , who should be fairly up to speed on the playbook by now.

Hurns and A-Rob will do the heavy lifting and they can  rotate Brown and Sanders in the slot.

Come on 1 pm Sunday, get here already will you.
