Quote:So Gordon will play all the snaps because he is a big time player no matter the conditioning?

How can anyone say Ace isn't a big time player on this team? Right now he is the only veteran playing wr tomorrow. I anticipate him playing a lot more than you think.

I would hope so anyways.
Gordon's snap count would be determined by his conditioning at the time just like Sanders.  You are confusing "fresh legs" with "conditioning."

Guys that haven't been training at a high level aren't prepared to go full speed an every route of a nine play drive in the fourth quarter of an NFL game. (In a hurry-up no less)  I'm not making this stuff up, dude.  Coaches and analysts talk about it regularly in similar situations.

How could anyone say he is a big player on this team?   HE'S 5'7" !!!    :teehee:    Sorry. Couldn't resist.

LOL I did not realize he was that short.

No I am not confusing the two. I think Ace has the body type that he shouldn't be out of football shape. He will be just fine. If he doesn't play 60 snaps it will be because they have a solid rotation at WR.

Exactly.... he is 5 7 185. Not exactly someone who I am worried about being out of football shape.
Quote:When has Sanders ever been a big time player in Jacksonville? Last year he played a lot because we were short on wide receivers. This year we can afford to list him as a backup on offense because of two draft picks and one UDFA.

When has he ever been a big time player? Dude has been here for ONE YEAR. I also seem to recall Jedd or Caldwell say he is more than just a punt returner.

How does a man's body type make him stay in football shape for a whole month when he is not playing football? You have to make up stuff like that.

You do realize people who are heavier tend to get tired more quickly right?

Not to mention Ace has been playing football his whole life. You think four games is suddenly going to make him out of shape?

OK.

Gus thinks the conditioning aspect is a factor whether you want to deal with reality or not.

Quote:

"He's fired up," coach Gus Bradley told the Florida Times-Union<span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">. "He's excited. You can only imagine. ... I think it's important to see where he's at and his conditioning. It would be great to get him back here not only on offense, but on punt returns as well."</span>

Lol the reality I got from that quote is that it sounds like he is going to be playing a lot tomorrow.

I also read a number of times where Gus thought Henne was the best chance for the Jags to win.

Point being.... don't listen to coach speak. Doesnt mean a thing. That is reality. And I have seen you post that a number of times.

Ace played 9 offensive snaps. Mike Brown played 24.  You wanna reconsider your stance on whether coaches limit players based on conditioning now?
