Quote:Obviously he'll field punts, but they may limit his offensive snaps if his conditioning isn't up to speed. (which is often the case with guys returning from suspensions)
I could see him in on 25-30 offensive snaps. If they run around 60 or so -- that's "limited." I look forward to seeing a water-bug move or two this week. Love that lateral elusiveness he has.
They said he's been able to workout and condition with the team.

With the injuries - He's currently 5th on the depth chart as far as I can tell. So there's a chance he sees a handful of snaps. Definitely will if there's an injury to another receiver.
WR - Shorts, Robinson, Sanders, King
WR - Lee, Hurns, Brown

I'm basing my statements off of Bradley's comments in a presser from tuesday or wednesday of this week.
He said (paraphrasing > ) that they intend to evaluate his conditioning and see what he's ready for. That leads me to believe he may be limited - as is often the case with guys returning to the line-up. If he's able to play 50-60 snaps, that's awesome, I just don't think he will.

Better watch making statements like this........you'll have the FBI and Homeland Security coming down on you.

He will be right on the bench where he should be.

Quote:I have said it too and will say it again every time someone says we should have made the contract unmatchable. Some people want to think they know better than David Caldwell, who understands you can't make a center richer than your quarterback no matter how good he is.Right now the way Caldwell's win/loss record is looking as gm I can pick players and do the same as him. Probably better. You act like he's killing it.

You seem to be hating on Caldwell. I have no reason to believe an average Jaguars fan knows better than he does about player acquisitions.

Quote:Ace will definitely play on offense, just not as much as you would think. He is going to be rusty from taking four weeks off.
So the way to make him unrusty is to limit his play?

Quote:So the way to make him unrusty is to limit his play?Limiting his play is how you keeping him from being useless on routes because he's too winded to be effective. This is incredibly commonplace.

Not really. Ace Sanders conditioning should be up to par. This team doesn't have the luxury or limiting play of people.

He was just added to the active roster today. Coaches know when a player is out four weeks, his body needs to be reconditioned before he is ready to take on a huge workload.

If the coaches deem his physical conditioning lacking - they'll do just that and it will be the right call. If he has convinced them otherwise in a few practices, then he may play more snaps, but I wouldn't count on it.

If anything he should have fresh legs. He hasn't done a damn thing in what is it going on 3 months now.
Are the Browns going to limit Gordons snaps because he is going to miss ten games? I highly doubt it.
Lol ok

(5th if not for injuries) And he's not a "big time player" on this team. He's the punt returner who fans hope will be a contributor in the slot or on a gadget play or two. It's really not a big deal if he's not on the field for 60 snaps in his first game back.

Poz, Branch, Davis, Pasztor, Miller Will T - all probable.

How can anyone say Ace isn't a big time player on this team? Right now he is the only veteran playing wr tomorrow. I anticipate him playing a lot more than you think.
I would hope so anyways.

Three months? My understanding of the drug policy is if the suspension is only four games, he can play in preseason and do all training camp activities.
Forget "fresh legs." When you wake up in the morning is the first thing you do run around the block? Probably not.

He played in a half of one preseason game.
And was suspended for one month. So yes roughly three months.

When has Sanders ever been a big time player in Jacksonville? Last year he played a lot because we were short on wide receivers. This year we can afford to list him as a backup on offense because of two draft picks and one UDFA.
