Well, ShakaWatch is in full swing now. Rumors are swirling around that he is flying to Austin today. That seems odd since another rumor states that the Texas AD is flying here to talk to him about the Texas job.

I'm just glad Marshall is staying in Wichita. Really hope Smart stays at VCU. He belongs there.

I don't think he even made it for a visit before deciding to stay at Wichita. Smart move by him too.

I'm thinking he will because a thing that not a lot of "national" reporter types pick up about him is that he likes being the big dog on Campus. At VCU, there's no football program and he really has no competition for funding or attention. If he goes to Texas, it's really not going to be that way and I can't see him walking into a situation like that.
In other good news. Billy Donovan gets extended and bump in pay. Top 5 highest paid college coaches.
Well, he took the Texas job. Shaka Smart has definitely left the VCU program in better shape than when he arrived, but it sucks to see him go.
I'm not sure VCU can recover from this.
Would they hire Anthony Grant back?
