Throughout the entire offseason, I always believed Henne would last until midseason and thought sitting would be to Bortles benefit. However, after last game, I think he ends up starting on Sunday. Blake's strengths can hide some of the offensive deficiencies. His ability to rollout and move in and around the pocket could really help minimize porous line play. In his limited looks during the preseason, Blake was able to throw receivers open, which is something Chad hasn't been able to do this season. The fact Gus didn't come out and declare Henne the starter for Sunday makes me believe they are seriously considering it and quite frankly I think needs to be done.

I say when Gus is ready to stop playing "Joes vs. Pros"

I agree putting Blake Bortles in now would help the offense, but that will not translate to more touchdown passes without Ace Sanders and Allen Hurns. I will just be happy to see him on the field.
if jags start bortles this year it will be in same place brunel started his carrar at. In hoston. That will be the begaining of the bortles era ending season heading into offseason. it will e very late in the year if it happens.

I did some wishful voting and said this week.
Snowwolf, it would make more sense to wait until next year if we are going to put it off that long. Even if they do that, it will not be at the same place Mark Brunell made his first start or against the same team.

If you don't really think it will be this week, change your vote. This is a prediction poll.

Next season.  Gus is stubborn enough for it.  Unless Henne gets injured, I think we'll see them trot out Henne until 2015.

I think they start henne this week,  one last slap in the face for the fans. and then start bortles next week.

I voted wk 4. I expect Henne is going to start his last game this Sunday. He'll either go down and be forever replaced or pulled during halftime.
It looks like a lot of people are expecting a switch in the next three weeks. If he is not the starter in Week 5 I will be upset.

2017. We couldn't possibly put him on the field in the next 2 years, he might stub his toe and be ruined forever. Gus and Dave are like the nerds that buy action figures, but won't take it out of the box to play because it will be ruined forever. So it's no longer a toy, it's a decoration.

Bortles was drafted to be a sideline decoration. Good luck, kid.

What the heck has he done to earn another week as a starter??

What's sad is this is probably more likely to happen than Bortles seeing any time this season.

No it's not. David Caldwell said after drafting Blake Bortles he would be the opening day starter in 2015.
I voted for the Steelers game because this week we are just beginning to discuss the possibility of switching quarterbacks, so the coaches are not ready to change game plans for Blake Bortles yet. Making this switch is not just telling Bortles, "You are the starter." It includes making other changes on the depth chart, opening the playbook, and giving him a full week with the starters. So I see it as a two-week process. Because the Colts have no pass rush, I am OK with letting Chad Henne play Sunday if he's named the starter after the "conversation" about switching to Bortles.

I'm also highly considering picking up the colts defense in fantasy this week if Henne plays. Need today's presser to confirm the starter first. Anyone know what time that normally is on Wednesdays?
My guess is Week 5.

If the O-line continues to play like Swiss cheese, we might see him sooner then we think.

Game 5 - Steelers.
