For all intents and purposes, they've already won.  Our lives forever changed on 9/11/01.

Based on our legislative responses to the attack the terrorists won. We gave up our way of life to an espionage and police state. Now we've lost the good work done in Iraq and we're only going to get more limited warfare out of it, wasting blood and treasure when the leadership has neither the concern or desire to win. The decline of America that began that day continues apace and nothing can stop it.

America was already in decline, but the 9-11 attacks really cinched it, they drove fearful types to beg for republican authoritarianism through their voting choices that's still continuing to this day.

The problem is people who actually believe Obama is a left-winger or a socialist or a liberal, or whatever misguided label they have for a politician actually concerned with the real well being of society rather than the well being of the oligarchs.

Can people put aside their "political" affiliations and come together just for this day? Is that too much to ask?

 

The people who perished in Pennsylvania, The Pentagon, and World Trade Center came from all walks of life, Black, White, Democrat, Republican, etc.

 

Good Lord, we are having just as much political warfare as the Shiites, and Sunnis. just without the guns.

So if someone broke into your house and shot you, but still survived, did the suspects win?

 

The point is We have had to change our security measures to prevent another attack from happening. Would you want to go back to the lax awareness that we had before 9/11?

This thread is about the 9-11 tragedy and continuing tragedy that's gone on in this nation since.
