Quote:How are they even debating if this should be a hate crime? If this was done to a black special needs kid, Chicago would be burned to the ground. Pathetic.

Yup. Were the roles reversed and the perpetrators were saying "[BLEEP] Barack Obama. [BLEEP] black people.", the outrage would be overwhelming. If we're to truly become a "post racial nation", double standards such as this will have to stopped. Where are the self-righteous politicians and MSM talking heads now?

With that being said, I'm not a fan of hate crime laws anyway. A crime is a crime. The motive makes it no less injurious. We don't need vote hungry prosecutors and politicians as well as MSM ratings hustlers attempting to inject personal interpretations for personal benefit.

Oh, the hypocrisy.

I bet you never criticized others for making jokes about the disabled. I guess it's OK when you do it.

I actually think it's a funny joke.
Where is outrage when Trump mocked a reporter with a disability?

Ya, exactly the same as torturing a person live on Facebook.

Never said it was the same, I was asking where is the outrage?

Pretty simple question.
I don't get outraged over words...words are just words.

Physically harming someone/anyone, but especially somebody with special needs, really irritates me.  And anybody that would do that to somebody is an idiot, and anybody that would condone that type of behavior is also and idiot and a coward.

Actually, Trump never mocked the reporter. It was a hand gesture he has used hundreds of times before that was exploited by the MSM.

Is this a joke?

First of all, it was proven false after a video was released of him doing the same exact gesture for different people over the past decades.

Second, we heard about it from talking heads almost every day in the MSM. It was in the debates, it was in the headlines, it was everywhere. There was plenty of outrage, and it was proven to be false outrage.

Didn't happen

They look like the Yale grads I expected.

I guess I'll be in hell with you because how I initially read it made me snicker.

The good thing is they are all over 18 so can and will be tried and convicted as adults. None of that juvenile detention crap.

There is a special place in hell for people like this. As someone else said, crime is crime, whether 'hate' motivated or not. Are hate crimes treated differently in the justice system? If not then what's the point in using the word to describe it other than to get people riled up?
Interesting that the Obama regime seems to think that it's "too early to tell if this is a hate crime".

Of course, one CNN commentator doesn't think that the attack was evil.  What's even more telling is when a Democrat strategist and former press secretary for Bernie Sanders Symone Sanders said the attack was “not a hate crime” if the suspects were motivated by “hate of Donald Trump.”

Good job deflecting, JFC.

OMG are you serious? It disturbs me that people who think like this actually walk among us. Hate is hate and an act of crime is an act of crime.

Edited to add, I get what the Lemon guy is saying to a degree. There has been some serious lack of positive parenting in the lives of these people which has produced the behavior we see in that video. It's no secret that lack of a father figure in the homes of the black community is a big issue, it's been stated on this message board by one of our black posters. But to say it's not evil, that's understating how bad this really is. To commit a crime like this is not something people just think up. There is serious hate and discontent behind these actions.

Outright lie.  That's been well documented that it didn't happen.

If we want change, we must stop accepting the lies instead of perpetuating them (even embracing them, in your case.)
