I think it's awesome that he's a finalist...but I doubt he gets in this year.

If the HOF worked the way it's supposed to, Boselli would get in. It's supposed to be for the best of the best at their respective position. Boselli absolutely stoned multiple HOF defensive linemen, and it wasn't even close. He made Bruce Smith look like Larry Smith. Who can forget him egging on Jason Taylor. Dude just went out and dominated.

Yes, his career was cut short by injury, but I imagine there are a couple guys already in the HOF under those same circumstances.

I think Boselli deserves to get in and I think that he will, but I doubt he gets in on his first try at being a Finalist. I figure he'll have to go through this another two or three times before they vote him in.

What hurts him is the honest truth.  A short lived Career.  Freddie and Jimmy deserve it more.  And neither of them will get in.  But still hope he does.  But career wise will be extremely tough.  (though not his fault)

This is kinda a weak class he should get in

He was the best OT of his time. That includes Ogden and Walter Jones, who are both in the HOF.

If you went to the HOF today you wouldn't know that the Jacksonville has a team.

Good luck Tony!

When do we find of the ones that get in?

Thanks!
You're welcome.

Fred made 1 pro bowl as an alternate. He won't sniff a finalist for a long time.

Jimmy has a chance due to his numbers and his major impact in 'fading to glory'

But neither of them deserve it more than Boselli. He was the best offensive lineman in the world when he played. All Pro status.
It kills me seeing Edgerrin James before Freddy. Edge is a great and had great numbers but he wasn't the player Fred was

I know what you mean. Rice admitted used Stick um and never removed as a HOF. And Jimmy still isn't.

I always have slight bias against guys who played on turf
No Jag will ever get in. The media votes the players in, and they all think Jacksonville is a dump that doesn't deserve a team. If he played for New York or Dallas he would be in 1st ballot. If Tom Brady won 5 SBs for Jacksonville he would have a hard time getting in.

Championships and playoffs will help. Had the Jags found a way to defeat the Patriots in 07, I think they very likely win the Super Bowl. That was a legitimate team, but we ran into the best teams in history in New England. I think those '07 Jags easily take the Chargers after beating them earlier in the season, and we matched up well against the Giants. Mathis would have shut down Plac & Co. and That team wins a Super Bowl.

If the Jags finished '07 with a Championship, there is some sense of maybe Henderson, Stroud, Jones-Drew, Mathis and Taylor all getting serious consideration as Hall of Famers. That '07 Defense was so dominant, pretty sure we were top 10 overall, I think top 5 in turnovers and a few other categories. Manning had some of his worst games against our Del Rio defenses. We even went 2-2 with Quinn Gray that year because of how good the rest of the team was. What a shame that that team fell apart and we didn't have the personnel to replace.

Those Del Rio teams will always take a back seat to Brady and Manning led teams, but we really should always appreciate those seasons for what they were, even though in the moment we didn't. Winning truly helps your case.

I really hope the Jags can get back to serious football soon. I would say Poz is really deserving of Hall of Fame consideration if he plays at the level he does for a few more seasons and he is the type of guy you really hope to see get a ring. I'm dreaming a bit here, but if the Jags can pull a quick turn-around, I think Poz and Ramsey are Hall of Fame talents. If Poz were in Dallas, NY, Philly, San Fran, you would be hearing about him a lot more. He's as good as Kuechley, he's better than Lee and is consistently a Top 10 LB in every stat category there is. Wagner and Keuchley are the only better MLB's in the league right now
Sorry if this has already been posted. I just saw on NFL.com Tony Boselli on the list of HOF finalists.

TIA

Hope he makes it, but don't see it happening.

Imagine if he does actually make it...His head will swell to the size of Peyton Manning's.
